Abstract

A versatile strap device to one-hand-carry single or multiple cartons, boxes, luggage or the like. The strap device is a pair of flexible, stretch resistant material with a grip handle. The straps are adjustable with durable quick release buckle closure and will fit variety sized cartons, boxes, luggage or like. The strap device consists of a pair of cross straps with a grip handle which encircle the luggage, boxes or the like for secure handling when hand carried.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • This invention relates to a strap device with grip handle to one-hand carry cartons, boxes, luggage and the like. The strap device is designed to securely wrap around the width and length of a hand-carried item or several items set on top of one another.
  • A common problem encountered by travelers world wide is the cumbersome problem of carrying boxes, cartons, luggage and the like without handles whether these be single or stacked up top of one another. The need for this invention as a solution is imperative.
  • Travelers also have to undergo Customs and Security inspections and with use of this simple strap devise, these procedures could easily be undertaken.
  • Therefore, in recognition of these problems, this invention which is a simple, durable, versatile and convenient strap device with handle is the ultimate solution.
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the invention provides a strap device to one-hand carry cartons, boxes, luggage and the like that are with out handles for convenient hand-carrying. The invention is a strap device with two strong flexible and stretch resistant adjustable cross straps with a grip handle and with durable quick release locking buckles. This strap device would wrap firmly around cartons, boxes, luggage and the like across its width and length. The invention is simple, versatile, durable and sturdy and convenient. It is simple because it could easily be utilized to secure and hand-carry small to large cartons, boxes, luggage and the like. Versatile because it is designed to carry not only single but multiple cartons, boxes and luggage or the like that are set on top of the other. For Customs and Security, it is convenient for inspections because the boxes, cartons, luggage and the like are completely visible and easy to unstrap and strap back. It is also easy to store the strapped items in overhead bins in airplanes. The strap device is simple strong, durable, versatile, reusable and washable. It is also easily identifiable as the straps will be in assorted colors.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • In the drawings, like elements are depicted by like reference numerals. The drawings are briefly described as follows.
  • FIG. 1 is a top plan view, illustrating the carrying device with a pair of traverse straps perpendicularly sewn to each other at mid-point. To the bottom strap is sewn a handle.
  • FIG. 2 is an enlarged top plan view, illustrating the handle secured to the bottom strap.
  • FIG. 3 is a diagrammatic perspective view, illustrating the carrying device extending over the boxes wherein the buckles need only to be fastened to secure these.
  • FIG. 4 is a diagrammatic perspective view, illustrating the carrying device fully fastened onto the boxes wherein the adjustment buckles have been set on the straps to an appropriate length for securely holding the boxes.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a carrying device 30 having two straps 31A and 31B each having first and second ends 5 and 6. The traverse straps 31A and 31B are sewn with a “box x” stitch and joined at mid-point 7. A hand grip 9 is sewn “box x” stitched at 8A and 8B and centered across strap 31A over mid-point 7.
  • Mateable buckles are provided on each of the straps 31A and 31B. Adjustment buckles 4 are provided on each strap. The adjustment buckles 4 facilitate adjustment of the length of the straps 31A and 31B so as to allow the device 30 to be used on various sizes and numbers of boxes.
  • As illustrated in the drawings, each strap is a broad and strong nylon textile of heavy gauge. The hand grip 9 is made of heavy nylon
  • FIG. 2 illustrates hand grip 9 sewn “box x” stitched at 8A and 8B to strap 31A. Hand grip 9 is sewn to strap 31A to reinforce strap 31B in providing more carrying strength. Straps 31A and 31B are “box x” stitched at mid-point 7 to even up weight distribution.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates unfastened carrying device 30 enfolding on three different sized boxes 1, 2, and 3. This figure illustrates the versatility of the device to carry different sizes and number of boxes.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates device 30 enfolding around the boxes 1, 2, and 3 with use of the adjustment buckles 4 and with the mateable buckles 5 and 6 clipped together, a secured fit is ensured.

Claims (5)

1. A strap device to one-hand-carry cartons, boxes, luggage or the like. The strap device includes a single grip handled pair of adjustable cross straps with durable quick release buckles which wrap around single or multiple cartons, boxes, luggage or the like.
2. A strap device of cross straps provided with a single grip handle to carry cartons, boxes, and luggage without handles.
3. The handle is stitched or riveted to the bottom strap at mid-point which likewise is stitched or riveted to the mid-point of the top strap reinforcing the carrying capability of the strap device.
4. The strap device is designed with straps which cross each other and sewn or riveted together at mid-point to provide complete encirclement of the luggage, carton or box both lengthwise and widthwise.
5. The strap device is provided with adjustable straps with durable quick release buckle closure to fit a variety of single or multiple cartons, boxes, luggage and the like.
