Abstract

A portable exercise device includes a body has two shafts respectively longitudinally extending therefrom and co-axially aligning with each other. Two rotors and two torsion springs are respectively pivotally sleeved on the two shafts of the body to make the two rotors reciprocally rotate relative to the two shafts. A wrench device and a stretch device respectively securely receive the two rotors for providing two exercise ways to the user.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a portable exercise device, and more particularly to portable exercise device that provides two operating ways for promoting exercise effect.
  • DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART
  • In a busy life, many people have little opportunity to take an exercise outdoors. Consequently, various exercise devices are marketed, such as treadmill, bike, chest expander, and so on.
  • However, most of the various exercise devices have a bulky volume are heavy so that the conventional exercise devices are hardly moved. Consequently, the using scope of the conventional exercise devices is limited.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional exercise devices.
  • The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved portable exercise device that provides two exercise ways.
  • To achieve the objective, the portable exercise device in accordance with the present invention comprises a body including a first protrusion laterally extending from a first side of the body and a second protrusion laterally extending from a second side of the body. A first shaft centrally longitudinally extends from the first side of the body and a second shaft centrally longitudinally extends from the second side of the body.
  • A first rotor is pivotally mounted around the first shaft. The first rotor includes a through hole centrally defined therein for allowing the first shaft extending through the first rotor. A first stopper longitudinally extends from the first rotor. The first stopper has one side abutting the first protrusion to prevent the first rotor from overly rotated. A first torsion spring is sleeved on the first shaft between the body and the first rotor. The first torsion has a first end inserted into the body and a second end inserted into the first rotor to provide a restitution force to the first rotor.
  • A washer is longitudinally secured on a free end of the first shaft. The washer has a diameter greater than that of the through hole in the first rotor to prevent the first rotor from detaching from the first shaft.
  • A wrench device is securely mounted to the first rotor. The wrench device includes a hollow seat receiving the first rotor and partially pivotally receiving the body. A first arm extends from an outer periphery of the hollow seat for user to devote himself/herself to a wrench exercise for his/her extremities.
  • A second rotor is pivotally mounted around the second shaft. The second rotor includes a through hole longitudinally centrally defined therein for pivotally receiving the second shaft and a second stopper longitudinally extending from the second rotor toward the body. The second rotor abuts against the second protrusion of the body to prevent the second rotor from overly rotated. A second torsion spring is sleeved on the second shaft between the body and the second rotor. The second torsion has a first end inserted into the body and a second inserted into the second rotor to provide a restitution force to the second rotor.
  • A stretch device is pivotally mounted to the second rotor and selectively synchronously moved with the second rotor. The stretch second includes a hollow seat receiving the second and partially pivotally receiving the body. A second arm extends from an outer periphery of the hollow seat of the stretch device for to devote himself/herself to a wrench exercise for his/her extremities.
  • Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to the drawings and initially to FIG. 1, a portable exercise device in accordance with the present invention comprises body 10, a first and a second rotor 20,40 respectively pivotally mounted to two opposite sides of the body 10, a wrench assembly 30 sleeved around the first rotor 20 and a stretch assembly 60 sleeved around the second rotor 40.
  • With reference to FIGS. 1-4, the body 10 includes a first bore 11 and a second bore 12 longitudinally defined therein near a periphery thereof. The first bore 11 and the second bore 12 linearly correspond to each other. An arc first protrusion 13 laterally extends from a first side of the body 10 and diametrically corresponds to the first bore 11. An arc second protrusion 14 laterally extends from a second side of the body 10 and diametrically corresponds to the second bore 12. A first shaft 15 centrally longitudinally extends from the first side of the body 10 and a second shaft 17 centrally longitudinally extends from the second side of the body 10. A threaded hole 16 is centrally longitudinally defined in a free end of the first shaft 16. The second shaft 17 includes an insert section 18 centrally longitudinally extending therefrom. Two planes 19 are formed on a free end of the insert section 18 and diametrically correspond to each other. A pivot hole 190 laterally defined in, diametrically extending through the insert section 18 to the two planes 19.
  • The first rotor 20 includes a through hole 21 centrally defined therein for allowing the first shaft 15 extending through the first rotor 20 via the through hole 21 in the first rotor 20. The first rotor 20 has a first side opposite to the body 10 and having multiple first bores 22 longitudinally defined in the first side of the first rotor 20 near a periphery of the first rotor 20. A series of second bores 23 defined in a second side of the first rotor 20 and a first stopper 25 longitudinally extending from the second side of the first rotor 20. Further with FIG. 7A, the first stopper 25 laterally abuts the first protrusion 13 to prevent the first rotor 20 from overly rotated. A first torsion spring 26 is mounted around the first shaft 15 of the body 10 between the body 10 and the first rotor 20. The first torsion spring 26 includes a first insertion 260 and a second insertion 261 respectively on the two opposite ends thereof and respectively inserted into a corresponding one of the series of second bores 23 in the first rotor 20 and the first bore 11 in the body 10. To select a suitable one of the series of second bores 23 in the first rotor 20 can previously set the torsion of the first torsion spring 26. A bolt (not numbered) extends through a washer 27 and is screwed into the threaded hole 16 to hole the washer 27 in place for preventing the first rotor 20 from detaching from the first shaft 15 because the washer 27 has a diameter greater than that of the through hole 21 in the first rotor 20.
  • The wrench assembly 30 includes a hollow seat 31 securely mounted around the first rotor 20 and is pivotal relative to the body 10. The first rotor 20 can be integrally form with the hollow seat 31. The hollow seat 31 includes a closed end having multiple through holes 33 each aligning with a corresponding one of the multiple first bores 22 and a through hole 32 centrally defined in the close end of the hollow seat 31 for user to easily assemble the bolt and the washer 27. A bolt (not numbered) extends through the through hole 33 and screwed into the corresponding bore 22 in the first rotor 20 to hold the hollow seat 31 in place. The hollow seat 31 has an annular lip 34 longitudinally extending therefrom and corresponding to the body 10. A first arm 35 extends from an outer periphery of the hollow seat 31 for user to devote himself/herself to a wrench exercise for his/her hands or legs. However, the first arm 35 and the hollow seat 31 can be integrally formed. An end piece 38 laterally attached to closed end of the hollow seat 31 for protecting the washer 27 and providing goodlooks.
  • The second rotor 40 includes a through hole 41 longitudinally centrally defined therein for pivotally receiving the insert section 18 of the second shaft 17. The through hole 41 has an enlarged section 43 formed on one end of the through hole 41 in the second rotor 40 opposite to the body 10. A second stopper 44 longitudinally extends from the second rotor 40 neat a periphery of the second rotor 40 toward the body 10 and laterally abuts against the second protrusion 14 and the second side of the body 10, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 9A, to prevent the second rotor 40 from being overly rotated. A series of bore 45 is defined in a first side of the second rotor 40 and corresponds to the second bore 12 in the body 10. A second torsion spring 47 is mounted around the second shaft 17. The second torsion spring 47 has a first insertion 470 and a second insertion 471 respectively formed on two opposite ends thereof. The first and second insertions 470, 471 are respectively inserted into the second bore 12 and a corresponding one of the series of bore 45 for adjusting the original torsion of the second torsion spring 47. The second rotor 40 includes a series of tooth 46 longitudinally extending from a second side of the second rotor 40 near a distal edge of the second rotor 40.
  • An engager 50 is pivotally mounted to the insert section 18 of the second shaft 17 and selectively engaged to the second rotor 40. The engager 50 includes a through hole 51 centrally longitudinally defined therein for pivotally receiving the insert section 18. The through hole 51 in the engager 50 has an enlarged section 52 formed to co-axially correspond to the enlarged section 43 of the through hole 41 in the second rotor 40 so that a spring 55 is compressively received in the enlarged section 43 of the through hole 41 in the second rotor 40 and the enlarged section 52 of the through hole 51 in the engager 50. The engager 50 has a series of tooth 53 longitudinally extending from one side of the engager 50 and selectively engaged to the series of tooth 46 of the second rotor 40. In a normal state, the series of tooth 53 of the engager 50 is disengaged from the series of tooth 46 of the second rotor 40 due to a restitution force of the spring 55 between the second rotor 40 and the engager. The engager 50 has multiple holes 54 radially defined in an outer periphery of the engager 50.
  • The stretch device 60 is secured on the engager 50. The stretch device 60 includes a hollow seat 61 provided to receive the engager 50 and the second rotor 40, and partially receive the body 10. The hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 includes a closed end opposite to the body 10. A through hole 62 is centrally defined in the closed end of the hollow seat 61 for allowing the insert section 18 of the second shaft 17 extending through hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60. The hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 has multiple bores 63 radially defined in an outer periphery thereof and extending through the hollow seat 31. Each bore 63 in the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 aligns with a corresponding one of the multiple holes 54 in the engager 50, thereby a locking member (not numbered) extends through the bore 63 and secured in the corresponding hole 54 in the engager 50 to secure the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 on the engager 50. For simplifying the structure of the stretch device 60, the engager 60 can be integrally formed with the hollow seat 61. The hollow seat 61 has a skirt 64 longitudinally extending therefrom toward the body 10 and movably received between the lip 34 of the hollow seat 31 of the wrench device 30 and the body 10 to prevent foreign matter from entering the portable exercise device in accordance with the present invention. A second arm 65 laterally extends from the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 for user to devote himself/herself to a stretch exercise for his/her hands or legs.
  • A lever 70 is pivotally mounted to the free end of the insert section 18 of the second shaft 17 for driving the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 and the engager 50 to make the engager 50 be engaged to the second rotor 40 after the insert section 18 extending through the engager 50 and the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60. The lever 70 has two cams 71 extending therefrom and corresponding to the two planes 19 on the free end of the insert section 18 of the second shaft 17. Each cam 71 has a pivot hole 72 defined therein and corresponding to each other for allowing a pin 73 extending the two cams 71 and the pivot hole 190 in the insert section 18 to pivotally mount the lever 70 to the free end of the insert section 18. The two cams 71 are provided to abut against the closed end of the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 for moving the engager to engage to the second rotor 40.
  • With reference to FIGS. 2, 4, 6, 7 and 7B, when taking a wrench exercise, the stretch device is limited because the engager 60 is secured in the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 and engaged to the second rotor 40 due to cams 71 of the lever 70. In addition, the second stopper 44 abuts against the second protrusion 14 of the body 10. Consequently, the user can wrench the first arm 35 toward the second arm 65 to twist the first torsion spring 26 for achieving an effect of exercise and the first arm 35 will moved back to the original position after stopping wrenching the first arm 35 due to the restitution force of the first torsion spring 26.
  • With reference to FIGS. 2, 4, 8, 9 and 9A, the first arm 35 is limited to be moved opposite the second arm 65 because the first stopper 25 abuts against the first protrusion 13 and the first rotor 20 is securely received in the hollow seat 31 of the wrench device 30. Consequently, the user can stretch the second arm 65 opposite to the first arm 35 to twist the second torsion spring 47 for achieving an effect of exercise and the second arm 65 will moved back to the original position after stopping stretch the second arm 65 due to the restitution force of the first torsion spring 47.
  • With reference to FIGS. 4 and 5, when adjusting an angle formed by the first arm 35 and the second arm 35 and the moving range of the exercise device of the present invention, the lever 70 is wrenched to make the two cams 71 be separated from the closed end of the seat 61 of eh stretch device 60. The engager 50 is disengaged from the second rotor 40 due to the restitution force of the spring 55 and the stretch device 60 is in a free condition relative to the wrench device 30. The lever 70 is wrench again to make the two cams 71 abutting against the closed end of the hollow seat 61 of the stretch device 60 for pushing the engager 50 moved toward the second rotor 40 and engaging to the second rotor 40 when the angle between the first arm 35 and the second arm 65 is adjusted to a purposed degree.
  • As described above, the exercise device in accordance with the present invention is portable so that the user can conveniently take an exercise everywhere. Furthermore, the portable exercise device of the present invention provides two operating ways for user to train his/her hands or legs for promoting exercise effect.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims (15)

1. A portable exercise device comprising:
a body including a first protrusion laterally extending from a first side of the body, a second protrusion laterally extending from a second side of the body, a first shaft centrally longitudinally extending from the first side of the body and a second shaft centrally longitudinally extending from the second side of the body;
a first rotor pivotally mounted around the first shaft, the first rotor including a through hole centrally defined therein for allowing the first shaft extending through the first rotor, a first stopper longitudinally extending from the first rotor, the first stopper having one side abutting the first protrusion to prevent the first rotor from overly rotated, a first torsion spring sleeved on the first shaft between the body and the first rotor, the first torsion having a first end inserted into the body and a second end inserted into the first rotor to provide a restitution force to the first rotor;
a washer longitudinally secured on a free end of the first shaft, the washer having a diameter greater than that of the through hole in the first rotor to prevent the first rotor from detaching from the first shaft;
a wrench device securely mounted to the first rotor, the wrench device including a hollow seat receiving the first rotor and partially pivotally receiving the body, a first arm extending from an outer periphery of the hollow seat for user to devote himself/herself to a wrench exercise for his/her extremities;
a second rotor pivotally mounted around the second shaft, the second rotor including a through hole longitudinally centrally defined therein for pivotally receiving the second shaft and a second stopper longitudinally extending from the second rotor toward the body, the second rotor abutting against the second protrusion of the body to prevent the second rotor from overly rotated, a second torsion spring sleeved on the second shaft between the body and the second rotor, the second torsion having a first end inserted into the body and a second inserted into the second rotor to provide a restitution force to the second rotor; and
a stretch device pivotally mounted to the second rotor and selectively synchronously moved with the second rotor, the stretch second including a hollow seat receiving the second and partially pivotally receiving the body, a second arm extending from an outer periphery of the hollow seat of the stretch device for allowing a user to devote himself/herself to a wrench exercise for his/her extremities.
2. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1 further comprising an engager pivotally sleeved on the second shaft between the second rotor and a closed end of the hollow seat of the stretch device and selectively engaged to the second rotor, the engager including a through hole centrally defined therein for pivotally receiving the second shaft, the second rotor including a series of tooth longitudinally extending therefrom toward the engager near a distal edge of the second rotor, the engager including a series of tooth selective engaged to the series of tooth of the second rotor, a spring sleeved on the second shaft and compressively mounted between the second rotor and the engager to selectively push the engager disengaged from the second rotor.

The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the second shaft includes an insert section extending through the closed end of the hollow seat of the stretch device, two planes formed on a free end of the insert section after the insert section extending through the closed end of the hollow seat of the stretch device, the two planes diametrically corresponding to each other, a pivot hole diametrically defined in the free end of the insert section and corresponding to the two planes, a lever pivotally mounted to the free end of the insert section, the lever including two cam extending therefrom and respectively corresponding to the two planes on the insert section for selectively pushing the closed end of the hollow seat of the stretch device to make the engager engage to the second rotor, a pin extending through the two cams and the pivot hole in the insert section to pivotally hole the lever in place.

The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the through hole in the second rotor includes an enlarged section formed on one end of the through hole in the second rotor opposite to the body and the through hole in the engager includes an enlarged section formed to co-axially correspond to the enlarged section of the through hole in the second rotor so that the spring is compressively received in the enlarged section of the through hole in the second rotor and the enlarged section of the through hole in the engager.

The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the through hole in the second rotor includes an enlarged section formed on one end of the through hole in the second rotor opposite to the body and the through hole in the engager includes an enlarged section formed to co-axially correspond to the enlarged section of the through hole in the second rotor so that the spring is compressively received in the enlarged section of the through hole in the second rotor and the enlarged section of the through hole in the engager.
6. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the engager is integrally formed with the closed end of the hollow seat of the stretch device.
7. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first rotor is integrally formed with the hollow seat of the wrench device.
8. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second rotor is integrally formed with hollow seat of the stretch device.
9. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the body comprises a first bore longitudinally defined in the first side thereof for receiving the first end of the first torsion spring and a second bore is longitudinally defined in a second side of the body for receiving the first end of the second torsion spring, the first rotor including a series of second bores longitudinally defined therein for receiving the second end of the first torsion spring such that the original torsion of the first torsion spring is changed when the second end of the first torsion spring is received in a different one of the series of second bores in the first rotor, the second rotor including a series of bores longitudinally defined therein for receiving the second end of the second torsion spring such that the original torsion of the second torsion spring is changed when the second end of the second torsion spring is received in a different one of the series of the bores in the second rotor.
10. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first shaft includes a threaded hole longitudinally defined in a free end of the first shaft, a bolt extending through the washer and screwed into the threaded hole to hold the washer in place.
11. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 9, wherein the hollow seat of the wrench device has a closed end formed opposite to the body, a through hole is defined in the closed end of the hollow seat of the wrench device for a user to easily mounted the washer and an end piece laterally attached to the closed end of the hollow seat of the wrench device for protecting the washer and providing good looks.
12. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first rotor comprises multiple first bores longitudinally defined therein facing the closed end of the hollow seat of the wrench device near a periphery of the first rotor and the closed end of the hollow seat of the wrench device comprises multiple through holes defined therein, each through hole in the closed end of the hollow seat of the wrench device aligning with a corresponding one of the multiple first bores in the first rotor, a bolt extending through the through hole in the closed end of the hollow seat of the wrench and screwed into the corresponding first bore in the first rotor to hold the hollow seat of the wrench in place.
13. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the engager has multiple holes radially defined in an outer periphery thereof and the hollow seat of the stretch device has multiple bores radially defined in an outer periphery thereof and extending through the hollow seat of the stretch device, each bore in the hollow seat of the stretch device aligning with a corresponding one of the multiple holes in the engager, thereby a locking member extends through the bore and secured in the corresponding hole in the engager to secure the hollow seat of the stretch device on the engager.
14. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the engager has multiple holes radially defined in an outer periphery thereof and the hollow seat of the stretch device has multiple bores radially defined in an outer periphery thereof and extending through the hollow seat of the stretch device, each bore in the hollow seat of the stretch device aligning with a corresponding one of the multiple holes in the engager, thereby a locking member extends through the bore and secured in the corresponding hole in the engager to secure the hollow seat of the stretch device on the engager.
15. The portable exercise device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the hollow seat of the wrench device comprises an annular lip longitudinally extending therefrom and corresponding to the body, and the hollow seat of the stretch device comprises a skirt longitudinally extending therefrom toward the body and movably received between the lip of the hollow seat of the wrench device and the body to prevent foreign matter from entering the hollow seats of the wrench device and the stretch device.
