Abstract
An air permeable middle sole including a plastic layer and an air permeable woven layer covering up the plastic layer; multiple ventilation pores being consistently disposed in the plastic layer; and multiple grooves being molded among and connecting through those ventilation pore; a wall is disposed to the edge of the plastic layer; a blank edge surrounding pores being disposed on the bottom of the plastic layer to ensure tight adhesion to the insole; grooves being directly in the plastic layer; the woven layer being made of air permeable material to permit vertical air circulation through woven layer and pores; the grooves allowing unobstructed expelling of odor to ambient air; and grooves and pores permitting water containment and sweats built up on the shoe to be expelled in time.
Description
- (a) Field of the Invention
- The present invention is related to a shoe component, and more particularly, to an air permeable middle sole.
- (b) Description of the Prior Art
- Middle soles generally available in the market are usually made of Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) or Polyurethane (PU) foamed materials. However, these materials are known for poor air permeability for effective expelling of sweats and odor that may present in the shoes to compromise wearing comfort. An improvement disclosed in PRC Utility Patent No. 98248789.4 under the title of “Footwear with Massage, Drainage, and Air Permeable Functions” teaches a type of middle sole that though provides drainage and air permeable functions is found with complicated structure and higher production cost of the shoes.
- The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a middle sole that is simple in construction and yielding better air permeability to correct the problems found with the prior art.
- To achieve the purpose, a middle sole of the present invention is comprised of a plastic layer and an air permeable woven layer. Wherein, multiple ventilation pores are consistently disposed in the plastic layer and connecting through one another by means of multiple molded groves. A blank edge is disposed on the bottom of the plastic layer to ensure tight adhesion of the middle sole to the sole of a shoe.
- Those grooves include lateral and longitudinal ones with certain portion of those lateral ones penetrating through the blank edge to communicate with the ambient air. Whereas ventilation pores are directly disposed in the plastic layer of the middle sole and the woven layer is made of air permeable fabric, air current in the shoe is allowed vertical ventilation through the woven layer and ventilation pores. Grooves to communicate with ambient air are disposed to connect ventilation pores for facilitating air circulation to fully expel odor trapped in the shoe; and similarly, sweats from human body and water containment built up on the shoe can be drained in time through those grooves and pores disregarding the fact that the bottom of the plastic layer is adhered to the sole.

FIGS. 1 , 2, and 3, a preferred embodiment of the present invention is comprised of aplastic layer 1 and an airpermeable woven layer 2 on top of theplastic layer 1. Theplastic layer 1 is made of rubber, EVA, PU, PVC, or TPR; and thewoven layer 2 is made of plain or printed fabric including cotton and hempen materials for absorbing sweats and providing good air permeability and drainage. The material of thewoven layer 2 may be blended or combined with far infrared material, or processed with optical catalyst to further provide antiseptic, deodorizing, and decontamination results. - A
blank edge 14 is provided on the bottom of theplastic layer 1 surrounding a central area consistently disposed withmultiple ventilation pores 11 connecting through one another by mans of multiple grooves. Those multiple grooves are comprised oflateral grooves 12 andlongitudinal grooves 13 with certain portion of thoselateral grooves 12 penetrating through theedge 14. Accordingly, thosemultiple ventilation pores 11 are capable of communicating with ambient air to facilitate expelling air current and water mist through thosegrooves groove ventilation pore 11 to guarantee sufficient depth for eachventilation pore 11 and better strength and flexibility of the entireplastic layer 1. - The
woven layer 2 is directly fused to the surface of theplastic layer 1, and the bottom of theplastic layer 1 is forthwith adhered to a sole 3 as illustrated inFIG. 1 . The surface area on thewoven layer 2 is corresponding to anarea 21 where thoseventilation pores 11 are located. The air current realizes its ventilation purpose through thearea 21. Disregarding the fact that theplastic layer 1 is adhered to the sole 3, presence of those lateral andlongitudinal grooves plastic layer 1 and the sole 3 to expel airflow and air mist into ambient air. Meanwhile, the shoes remains dry and odorless since airflow trapped in the shoes is continuously compressed and expelled as the wearer keeps pressing the shoes when he/she is walking. - The prevent invention provides an improved structure of an air permeable middle sole, and the application for a utility patent is duly filed accordingly. However, it is to be noted that the preferred embodiments disclosed in the specification and the accompanying drawings are not limiting the present invention; and that any construction, installation, or characteristics that is same or similar to that of the present invention should fall within the scope of the purposes and claims of the present invention.
Claims (4)
1. An air permeable middle sole including a plastic layer and an air permeable woven layer covering up the plastic layer; multiple ventilation pores being consistently disposed in the plastic layer; and multiple grooves being molded among and connecting through those ventilation pores.
2. The air permeable middle sole as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a blank edge surrounding the area where multiple ventilation pores are provided is provided on the plastic layer.
3. The air permeable middle sole as claimed in claim 1 , wherein those grooves include lateral ones and longitudinal ones with certain portion of those lateral grooves passing through the wall.
4. The air permeable middle sole as claimed in claim 1 , wherein those grooves are distributed in a reticular pattern.
