Description
- Shows a toilet paper dispenser designed to hold two rolls of toilet paper. The dispenser has a housing containing a primary roll support and a secondary roll support. The secondary roll support is disposed parallel to and vertically above the primary roll support. The secondary roll support is connected to a release mechanism operative to lower the secondary roll support into a position to dispense toilet paper from its roll of toilet paper when the primary roll of toilet paper is exhausted. A roll guard prevents access to the secondary roll until the release mechanism has been activated. The release mechanism is automatically activated and released by a user-controlled trigger mechanism, preferably a lever, so that a user exhausting the primary roll of toilet paper may access the secondary roll without interfering with the dispenser. This invention only holds two rolls of toilet paper. My invention holds two or more rolls of toilet paper.
- Shows a tissue roll dispenser provided with a pair of laterally slideable rolls holding elements and with a longitudinally slideable roll releasing actuator. The roll holding elements are biased towards a roll holding position via a spring connected to both roll-holding elements. The roll releasing actuator includes a pointed end provided with opposite lateral edges contacting a respective roll holding element. When the roll releasing actuator is moved from a resting position to an actuating position, the pointed end forces the roll holding elements to move laterally from a roll holding position to a roll releasing position. This invention is more complex than my invention.
- Shows a dispenser and rack for a roll of paper, plastic, or foil which comprises a magazine for generally vertical disposition having an open bottom, and the inside dimensions of the magazine are sufficient to accommodate at least one roll. A paddle is mounted in the magazine and a handle affixed to the paddle extends from an opening in the magazine and is free to be moved along the opening so as to actuate the paddle between a lower-most position and an upper-most position. The paddle is arranged so when in its lower-most position it obstructs the open bottom so as to prevent a roll from dropping from the magazine; and when the paddle is actuated to its upper-most position, clearance is provided to allow a roll to drop from the magazine. A suitable bracket depends from the magazine beneath the open bottom, and the paddle allows one roll at a time to drop from the magazine for engagement with the bracket and is revolvedly mounted on the bracket, exposing the roll for use. This invention is more costly to manufacture than my invention.
- Shows a dispenser includes an openable housing having a front opening, a parallel-spaced pair of guide slots being supported proximate opposite sides of the housing, each guide slot having a generally vertically oriented first segment, a generally horizontally oriented second segment intersecting the first segment, and a generally vertically oriented third segment intersecting the second segment in offset relation to the first segment, the first segment having a bottom extremity below the second segment. A dual mandrel has parallel spaced portion from receiving respective rolls, and a bridge portion rigidly connecting the mandrel portions. The dual mandrel, is locatable with opposite ends of each mandrel portion guidable from a first position wherein a lower-most of the mandrel portions is in a first dispensing position at the bottom extremity of the third segment of the guide slot, and the other mandrel portion is in a second dispensing position within the first segment. A catch member is biasingly coupled to the housing for retaining the lower-most of the mandrel portions in the expended position. This invention is more complex than my invention.
- Shows a dispenser apparatus for dispensing paper sheet material from one or more paper rolls includes a housing having a bottom opening communicating with the interior of the housing. A paper roll support is located at the bottom opening partially closing the bottom opening. The paper roll support forms a dispensing opening into which the paper roll projects to provide ready access to the paper roll. The paper roll support includes a downwardly curved roll engagement surface which forms a nip with the paper roll during dispensing. This invention is more costly to manufacture than my invention.
- Shows a two-roll dispenser for toilet tissue or similar sheet material which is arranged so that replacement of an empty core on either roll support with a new roll insures that a user cannot change to the dispensing position for the new roll until the other roll has been used up. This invention is for only two rolls of toilet paper. My invention is for two or more rolls of toilet paper.
- Shows a two roll toilet paper dispenser having a vertical spindle with stop means part way up the spindle. The stop means divides the spindle into a lower portion on which a first toilet paper roll is mounted in an operative position and an upper portion on which a first toilet paper roll is mounted in an operative position and an upper portion, on which a second toilet paper roll is mounted in a storage position. Actuating means are provided for operating the stop means to permit a roll resting thereon in the storage position to drop down the spindle to the operative position. This invention is only a two-roll dispenser. My invention is a two or more roll dispenser.
- Shows a dispenser for toilet tissue and other similar roll material having a hollow core. The dispenser has a storage container which allows a plurality of rolls to be stored in an end-to-end stack arrangement. The lowest roll can be dispensed by a user through a side opening in the storage container. When the lowest roll is completely used, the user can discharge the roll core by pulling a slide plate outwardly to align an aperture in the side plate with the used core. The core also drops through a core opening in a pivot plate immediately below the slide plate. The next roll of tissue drops to the slide plate and is supported thereon because it is larger than the core aperture. The dispenser is filled by releasing a lock means and rotating the storage container into a horizontal position. The horizontal position allows a catch means to be released so that the assembly normally supporting the rolls can be swung out of position thereby allowing new rolls of tissue paper to be inserted through the bottom end of the storage container. A core rod extends from the top end of the storage container in a cantilevered arrangement to align the tissue rolls and to keep the lowest roll from being stolen from the dispenser. This invention is more complex and costly to manufacture.
- Shows a dispenser for products in sheet form, of the type containing a reserve of material, comprising a casing formed with a loading aperture and a dispensing slot at the base, said casing being adapted to contain at least two superimposed reels of sheet material wound on tubular members separated from one another by stop means comprising a rocking lever provided with a lug supporting the top reel and a press-button to retract said lug and release the top reel when the bottom reel is empty. This invention is more costly to manufacture.
- Shows an apparatus for dispensing sheet material such as bathroom tissue from a roll. The apparatus includes a cabinet having a dispensing zone from where the sheet material may be removed first from a primary roll and later from a reserve roll. The cabinet also has a storage zone where at least one reserve roll of sheet material is stored for use after depletion of the sheet material on the primary roll. A first spindle for holding the primary roll is attached to the cabinet in the dispensing zone, and a second spindle for holding the reserve roll is attached to the cabinet and is movable from the storage zone to the dispensing zone. The apparatus includes a holding element for holding the second spindle in the storage zone until depletion of the sheet material on the primary roll. The apparatus further includes a release member for releasing the holding element, preferably automatically, only upon depletion of the sheet material on the primary roll. Upon release of the holding element, the second spindle drops from the storage zone to the dispensing zone. This invention is more complex to manufacture.
- Shows a toilet paper roll holding device comprising a housing receiving a plurality of toilet paper rolls one upon another with their axes lying in parallel to each other and including a pair of spaced side walls provided with paper roll core guide grooves, a rockable paper roll receiving and core discharge member pivoted to said side walls and including a pair of spaced arms extending uprightly; a pair of arcuate tracks formed on said side walls on which said arms are guided as said rockable member is pivoted: and operation means for said rockable member provided on one of said arms and one of said side walls adjacent to said one arm. This invention is more costly to manufacture.
- Shows a dispenser for roll paper, such as toilet tissue, in which the dispenser receives two rolls of paper, one above the other. The rolls are mounted on mandrels which are guided in vertical guide slots with the lower roll in a dispensing position. A lever engaged by the mandrel of the lower roll holds the upper roll in reserve until the lower roll is depleted, whereupon, the lever is released to permit the use of the upper roll which rotates on the depleted lower roll as the paper is dispensed. This invention is a dispenser for only two rolls of toilet paper.
- Shows a dispenser for flexible sheet material rolls including means for supporting a first roll in a dispensing position and means for releasably holding a second roll in a reserve position. The releasable holding means consists of a lever member which extends from the dispensing position to the reserve position and senses when the first roll is exhausted, whereupon the lever member releases the second roll from the reserve position automatically.
- This invention is a two roll dispenser. My invention is a multi-roll, two or more dispenser.
- Shows a dispenser of paper from rolls thereof and which rolls may contain toilet paper or paper towels and similar rolls of material to be neatly stored and dispensed. A magazine is associated with the dispenser so that paper rolls, or rolls of material are always available for use in the dispenser. A roller core is removed through an enlarged opening in the side of a dispenser and is inserted laterally through an enlarged opening into the next above roll. This invention is more costly to manufacture.
- Shows a toilet paper holding device comprising a housing, a pair of spaced guide members each having a paper roll core guide groove on the inner side and at least one pusher guide groove on the outer side, and elastic pusher member slideably received in said pusher guide groove, an elastic weir slideably received in said pusher guide groove and connected to said pusher member for movement together with the latter, said weir having a through bore adapted to communicate with said core guide groove, and a manual operation member connected to said pusher member for moving said through bore of the weir into and out of communication with the core guide groove whereby the core of a paper roll which is retained by the weir is freed from the holding action of the weir and fed into a service chamber and core is retained by the weir. This invention is more complex and more costly to manufacture.
