Abstract
A chair has a base, a seat connected to the base by means of a cylinder, a seatback connected to the seat by a connecting element and a hanger adjustably connected to the connecting element, such that the user is able to readily hang garment on the hanger.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a chair, and more particularly to a chair with a hanger mounted on the back of the seatback so that the user is able to hang garment on the hanger.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- A chair is to provide the user a comfortable sitting environment. However, if the chair can still provide the user convenience in a certain way, the function of the chair is doubled. Generally, a conventional chair as shown in FIG. 1, can only provide the user a comfortable environment to the user and nothing more, nothing less. Therefore, when the user takes off the coat, just before sitting down the chair, the most convenient place to hang the coat is the seatback of the chair. When the coat is hung on the seatback of the chair, the sleeve may falls on the ground and thus get stained, which is quite inconvenient to the user.
- To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention intends to provide an improved chair device to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
- The primary objective of the invention is to provide a chair with a hanger so that the user is able to use the hanger to hang garment easily.
- Another objective of the invention is that the arms of the hanger are telescopic so as that the hanger is able to meet garment with different length.
- Still, another objective of the invention is that the length of the hanger is able to be adjusted relative to the chair.
- In order to accomplish the objective, the chair of the present invention has a base, a seat connected to the base by means of a cylinder, a seatback connected to the seat by a connecting element and a hanger adjustably connected to the connecting element, such that the user is able to readily hang garment on the hanger.
- Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional chair;
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the chair with a hanger mounted on the seatback of the chair of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the movement of the hanger relative to the chair;
- FIG. 4 is a perspective view of still another embodiment of the movement of the hanger relative to the chair;
- FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a third embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a fourth embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a fifth embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 8 is a schematic view showing that a garment is hung on the hanger of the present invention.
- With reference to FIGS. 2 and 3, the chair constructed in accordance with the present invention has a
base 300, aseat 200 connected to thebase 300 via acylinder 500 and aseatback 100 connected to theseat 200 by a connectingelement 400. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, theconnecting element 400 is an arcuate bar connecting theseat 200 to theseatback 100. - The
hanger 600 is mounted on the back of theseatback 100 and has anarcuate shaft 610, asupport 620 integrally formed with thearcuate shaft 610 to form a T shape, ahollow positioning seat 630 connected to the connectingelement 400 and apin 640 inserted into a side face of thepositioning seat 630. - The
support 620 is movably received in thehollow positioning seat 630 and hasmultiple recesses 621 defined in a side face of thesupport 620 to correspond to thepin 640. - The
pin 640 is able to be inserted into the side face of thepositioning seat 630 and thus stays in one of therecesses 621 so as to position thesupport 620 together with thearcuate shaft 610 relative to theseatback 100. Further, in order to prevent garment to be hung on the hanger from slipping off the hanger, a slip-proof element 611 is attached to distal ends of thearcuate shaft 610. - With reference to FIG. 4, it is to be noted that the
pin 640 in FIG. 4 may be changed to an adjustingknob 650 having a threadedbody 651. Thus, the adjustingknob 650 is able to be screwed into the side face of thepositioning seat 630 and thus stays in one of thegrooves 622 to position thesupport 620 with respect to theseatback 100. - In FIG. 5, it is noted that the connecting element400 (as shown in FIG. 2) is integrally formed with the
positioning seat 620. - With reference to FIG. 6, the
arcuate shaft 610 in FIG. 2 is changed to ahollow bar 671 with twosecondary bars 672 received in thehollow bar 671. Eachsecondary bar 672 has a slip-proof element 673 securely attached to a distal end of thehollow bar 673. - FIG. 7 shows that the
hollow bar 671 in FIG. 6 is changed to twosecondary bars 681 pivotally connected to thesupport 620. - Garment700 is hung on the hanger of the chair of the present invention as shown in FIG. 8.
- Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
