Abstract
A step climber includes a base with a post extending therefrom. The post is composed of a first section and a second section which is retractably received in a top end of the first section. A handle is rotatably connected to the second section and a seat is connected to the handle. Two pedals are pivotally connected to an upright section on the base. The handle and the seat can be rotated to another direction and the height of the seat is adjustable for different uses.
Description
- The present invention relates to a step climber that has a height adjustable post and a seat is connected to the upper section of the post.
- A conventional step climber is a popular exercising device and generally includes a post with a base connected to a lower end thereof and a handle is connected to a top end of the post. Two pedals are pivotally connected to the post so that a user may stand on the two pedals and hold the handle with his/her hands. This is the only way to use the conventional step climber and certain parts of muscles are exercised by using the step climber. In the new trend of design of the exercising devices, more than one purpose is required and the height of the exercising device is also required to be adjustable so that different users can use the exercising device.
- In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a step climber which comprises a base and a post composed of a first section and a second section extends from the base. The second section is retractably received in a top end of the first section and a handle is connected to the second section. A seat is connected to the handle. Two pedals are pivotally connected to an upright section on the base.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a step climber that has a seat connected to the handle which can be rotated about the post so that the user may sit on the set to operate the pedals or stand on the pedals as the conventional way.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
- FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the step climber of the present invention;
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the post is retracted;
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the seat and the handle are rotated toward outward;
- FIG. 4 is a side view to show the step climber of the present invention as shown in FIG. 2;
- FIG. 5 is a side view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the user sits on the seat, and
- FIG. 6 is a side view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the user operates the step climber as a conventional way.
- Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the step climber of the present invention comprises a
base 10 and apost 1 extending from thebase 10. Twopedals 11 are pivotally connected to an upright section on thebase 10. Thepost 1 is composed of afirst section 20 and asecond section 20 which is retractably received in a top end of thefirst section 20. Thefirst section 20 has a threaded section and the upright section of thebase 10 has a threaded hole which receives the threaded section of thefirst section 20. Ahandle 50 is rotatably connected to thesecond section 30 and aseat 40 is connected to thehandle 50. Abolt 21 extends through thefirst section 20 and contacts thesecond section 30 in thefirst section 20 so as to fix thesecond section 30. Adisplay member 60 is received in theseat 40 and acable 61 extends from thedisplay member 60 and is connected to thebase 10 so as to show the information of the use. - As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, when the length of the
post 1 is shortened, the user may sit on theseat 40 and operate the twopedals 11 with his/her two hands holding thehandle 50. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, when thehandle 50 and theseat 40 are rotated toward outward as shown, thepost 1 is expanded and the step climber is used as a conventional way as shown. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
