While I have illustrated and described the preferred embodiment of my invention, it is to be understood that I do not limit myself to the precise construction herein disclosed and the right is reserved to all changes and modifications coming within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent is:

1. In a sanitary napkin, an absorbent pad having a reduced central area, cotton or like ller members located in intimate contact with the sides of said reduced area, the reduced central area having concaved sides, and means for holding said filler members in various positions along said sides.

2. In a sanitary napkin, an absorbent pad having a reduced central area, cotton or like ller members located in intimate contact with the sides of said reduced area, the reduced central area having concaved sides, and the contacting faces of the cotton ller members and the said sides being'formed with inter-engaged portions by which the ller members are held in various xed positions.

3. A sanitary napkin, comprising an absorbent pad having concaved sides, cotton or like ller members located in intimate contact with said concaved sides, and means for holding said ller members in various adjusted positions on the sides in said pad, comprising inter-engaging serrations in the contacting faces of the filler members and the concaved sides.
