With these and other objects in View this invention consists in certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter more fully described vand claimed.
yFor a complete understanding of my invention, reference is to be' had to the following description and accompanying drawing, Vin which Figure 1 is an elevational vi'ewzillustrating a necktie holder applied to a necktie worn by a person. l
Figure 2 is a vertical sectional view illustrating the holder applied to a necktie.
Figure` 3 is a similar View with the holder removed from the tie.
Figure 4 is a front elevation illustrating the same.
Figure 5 is a similar view illustrating a modified ornamentation for the holder.
Figure 6 is a top plan view illustrating the device. y Y
Figure 7 is a View showing a vmodified form of my invention applied to a necktie of the character' worn by women.
Figure 8 is a plan View illustrating a holding rmg.
Figure 9 is a plan view illustrating a holder.
Referring in detail to the drawing,'the numeral 1 indicates a holder including a body 2 having a bore 3 tapering towards one end. The rear Wall of the body is shorter than the front Wall and the latter-namedwall is provided with a projection of a desired shaperor configuration to y provide ornamentations to the body. The holder of the four-in-hand type in position Auponthe wearer. In use, the necktie Lis passed through the bore 3 forming the usual neck loop in the Y collar button of the collar, thereby effectively.
l, retaining the necktie in'position with the appearance of being tied in the usual manner.
which will also add to the artistic appearance of vand said rear wall being shorter than `the front 1 is Vespecially adapted for retaining a necktie'flV t t rThe body `2 besides giving Athe appearance of a knot vin the tie of the four-in-hand type also provides a protection to the tiefto prevent soiling of the later bythe chinrof the wearer coming in contact with 'the tie. The holder besides having the foregoing described advantages relieves the ltie of wear by eliminating the necessity of tying and untying the vtie each timev the latter is placed on and removed from the wearer.
Figures 4 and 5 show different lshapesor de- 65 signs ofthe ornamentation to the body and it is to be understood rthat other designs may be employed and also the body may be constructed ofv any material suitable yfor the purpose and the device. l Referring to Figures 7 to 9, va holder 6 is provided especially adaptable for neckties worn by Women and includes a ring-like element 7 adapted to be slipped over the ends of the tie and positioned adjacent the collar of the wearer with the holder applied to the necktie below the ringlike element 7. The holder 6 consists of a bar 8 having an ornamentation 9 and carrying at its end barrel shaped members 10 through which the ends of the tie may pass. y
While I have shown and described the preferred embodiment of my invention, it will be understood that minor changes in construction, combination and arrangement of parts may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of my invention, as claimed.
Having described the invention, I claim:
A necktie holder comprising a body having a bore extending therethrough and tapering towards one end to receive and frictionally grip a necktie, said body including integrally connected vfront and rear walls of solid formation wall and adapted to have one end thereof abut a collar button with the front wall projecting above the collar button. v
