UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE ADELA N. DAR-BY, OF SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA DEVICE FOR TREATING NASAL .AN D PULMONARY AFFLICTION S Application iled June 22, 1928. Serial No. 287,402.
This invention relates to means for treatand 18, so that when the plunger is forced mg nasal and pulmonary afllictions. Broadly into the shell the cartridge 14, which may stated, the device comprises an inhaler, be made of wax, gelatin, glass or any other through which air is adapted to be drawn Suitable material, will be fractured, and its 5 into the nostril, said inhaler being of a nacontents released. The pad or wrapping of 55 ture adapted to receive a frangible cartridge, absorbent material 16 thereupon becomes said cartridge being adapted to receive a soaked and impregnated with the medicasuitable volatile medicament. A body of abment, and the volatile vapors, from the same, sorbent material is so disposed, with relation may be drawn into the nostril through pas- 10 to the cart-ridge, as to receive and be impregsage 12, through passages 8a, formed in the 60 nated by the medicament when the cartridge Wall 8, and out of the opening 7.
