My invention relates to apparatus for feeding articles such as bulbs for electric incandescent lamps to machines such as incandescent lamp sealing-in machines. llhe object is to provide an a paratus whereby there will be a uniform eed of said articles presenting all of them in the same osition to the machine with a minimum 0? breakage. According to my invention, 1 provide a receptacle comprising a movable bottom, a rotatable inclined skirt surrounding said receptacle and a stationary partition mounted above said skirt. The bottom of the receptacle is gradually elevated to spill the arti- 15 cles on to the skirt and as the skirt rotates,
the stationary partition directs them down to the bottom ed e of the skirt in single file and they drop therefrom one by one on a suitable guideway. Further features and a advantages of my invention will appear from the description which follows or a s 'ecies thereof and from the accompanying drawings.

The lamp bu bs 10 which are to be fed by my machine are placed in the receptacle ll which has a cone-shaped bottom 12 as shown in Figs. 1 and 3. The machine is then started and the bottom of the receptacle is caused to rise until a number of bulbshave tumbled over the top edge of the said receptacle upon the skirt 13 whereupon the bottom is lowered somewhat. The risingjaction reduces the arrangement and disposition oi parts illustrated in Fig. 4,.and the lowering alters thisto that shown in Fig..5. The motion of the bottom 12 of the receptacle is produced by the mechanism shown in Fig. 2 which is operated by cams 14 and 15 on shaft 16. This shaft is preferably a portion oil the machine to which my machine feeds the bulbs and has intermittent movement. The outer ends of rods 34 and 35 are supported by yoke 37 on rod 38 which is attached to table 39 by bracket 4.0 and the inner ends of said rods are supported by bracket 41 which is attabbed to table 39. The end of the partition 32 is supported by bracket 42 and the various loops thereoi are fastened together by straps t3 and Belt 33 which turns shirt 13 is operated throu 'h pulley 45 on shafted which is operated rom some external source through bevelgear t7 and which is supported b brackets What claim asnew'and desire to secure 48 and 49 from the table.

2. An apparatus for feeding bulbs and similar articles comprising a receptacle having a movable bottom, a conical skirt surrounding said receptacle, a stationary partition mounted over said skirt, means for causing a gradual elevation of said bottom and means for rotating said skirt.
3. An apparatus for feeding bulbs and similar articles comprising a receptacle having a movable bottom, an inclined skirt surrounding said receptacle, a stationary spiral partition mounted over said skirt, means for causing a gradual elevation of said bottom and means for rotating said skirt.
4.An apparatus for feeding bulbs and similar articles comprising a receptacle having a movable bottom, an inclined skirt surrounding said receptacle, a stationary partition mounted over said skirt, means for causing a reciprocation and gradual elevation 0 said bottom and means for rotating said skirt.
5. An apparatus for feeding bulbs and similar articles comprising a receptacle having a movable bottom, a conical skirt surrounding said receptacle, a stationary spiral partition mounted over said skirt, means for causing a gradual elevation of said bottom and means for rotating said skirt.
