At the same time the ex posed insulator terminals may be widely spaced in air and'thus may be well insulated against flashovers therebetween. r
; The'oil level in the casing is adapted to be somewhat above the lower ends of the metal tubes of the insulators whereby to prevent corona thereat. i In the switch, illustrated in Fig. 3 the switch frame is modifiedtotake the place of the metal tubes of Figs. 1 and 2. As illustrated in this "figure the switch frame 12 is formed with thehorizontalbottoniwall 60 and the top wall 62 which is spaced above said bottom wall and is provided with the opposed and downwardly-inclined Wall-section '64 and 66. The walls 68 of a'mechanism well 7 0 connectthetop and bottom walls and divide the space therebet' ween into two compartments 7 2 and .74, each of which is equivalent to the metal tubeof Figs. 1 and 2. Insulators 76 and; '7 8 are carried by said top and bottom walls, respectively, and conductor -structures 80 extend through said insulators and the compartments 7 2 and 74-fand' are connected with terminal-connectors 82 at the tops of said insulators? 6 and withcontact blocks 84 at the bottoms ofsaid insulators 7 8 The construction may be otherwise modified without departing from the spirit of the invention.

In an electr calapparatus, the 'combination of an enclosingcas ng,approx1mately vertical insulator-bodies carried by and depending w1th1n-sa1d casing, companion insulator-bodies carried by said casing and extended upwardly and outwardly therefrom in' angular relation to-saidfirst insulatorbodies, terminal connectors carried by the lower ends of said first insulator-bodies, and bent continuous conductors extended the communicating passages insaidinsulator-bodies and having aconnection with said terminal connector. r 3. An electric switch comprising the com-' bination with an enclosing casing of a pair of insulator bushings having their exposed portions extending upwardly from the casing in diverging relation, each bushing comprising an approximately-verticalinsulatorbody carried byand depending within said casing, a second insulator-body carried by said casing and extended outwardly therefrom at an angle with saidfirs't insulator-1.
