clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to improvements in atomizers and more particularly to an imtproved nozzle adapted to selective use of a plurality of fluids in independent containers. v p
The object of the present invention is to provide an improved nozzle adapted for use in atomizers of the general form of my im proved device as illustrated in pending application Serial No. 555,549.
The invention consists in the novel construction, arrangement and combinations of parts as hereinafter more particularly. described and claimed.
One sheet of drawings accompanies this specification as part thereof in which like references indicate similar parts. throughout.

The present invention relates to an improved nozzle for an atomizer which embraces, generally, a plurality of fluid containers A provided with suitable closures B each provided with a vent b and 'a down wardly projecting supply tube 0 the lower end of which projects below the level of the fluid in container A and the upper end of which communicates with supply pipes 23 which are associated with an air supply pipe 1 adapted to be connected to any suitable supply of air. The. pipes 1, 2 and 3 are secured together by any suitable means and extended parallel and adjacent to each other, as is illustrated in Fig. 1.
In accordance with the present invention, the end of air sup-ply pipe 1 is bifurcated and provided with semispherical enlargements H to provide a compressible bearing part for the improved nozzle, as illustrated in Fig. 5. n p The nozzle is preferably constructed in two parts, the main body being. provided with a central longitudinal bore 5 which is enlarged interially to form a chamber 6 which in turn communicates with a' restricted passage 12. Adjacent the bore 5 and on either side thereof are pockets 7 8 adapted to receive the ends of the fluid supply pipes 2 and 3 respectively, One of the pockets such as 8 communicates with a restricted bore 9 extending through the body of the nozzle and discharging adjacent the discharge orifice of bore 12. The outer end of the nozzle is provided with suitable exterior threadsxadapted to co-mate with suitable-interior threads on nipple part 11 provided with an interior mixing'ohamzber 10 and a discharge'orifice 13.
In operation the nozzle is positioned upon and supported by air supply tube 1, the two semi-spherical bearing eats 4 of the latter being compressed to permit their passage through the bore 5 of the nozzle and then expanding to seat Within the cylindrical chamber 6 of the nozzle. By reason of this structure the nozzle is slidable longitudinally with respect to tube 1 and is rotatable thereon. The nozzle positioned as above indicated can readily be pushed backupon air supply pipe 1 to seat the ends of fluid supply pipes 2 and 3 in the pockets '7 and 8 respectively in which position the passage of air through air supply pipe 1 will create a suction to draw fluid through the fluid supply pipe which is seated in pocket 8 communicating with mixing chamber 10 of the nipple by means of passage 9. By reason of the structure described it will be apparent that the nozzle can be withdrawn from the ends of fluid supply pipes 2 3 by sliding it forward upon air supp-1y pipe 1 and the nozzle reversed so that pocket 8 will seat over supply tube 2 if desired, thus permiting a very rapid and simple change from one fluid to the other.
Various modifications will readily suggest themselves to thoseskilled in the art and it will be apparent that more fluid supply pipes may be utilized in connection with additional containers and additional pockets supply pipes whereby the fluid supply pipes maybe selectively associated with the air supply pipe. I

An atomizer comprising an air supply pipe and a plurality of fluid supply pipes, said pipes terminating adjacent but in spaced relation to each other anda mixing nozzle removably, slidably and rotatably supported upon the air supply pipe and having pockets adapted to seat the ends of the fluid supply pipes whereby the fluid sup ply pipes may be selectively associated with a the air's-upply pipe.
3. An atomizer comprising an air supply pipe having a compressible bearing on its end, a plurality of fluid supply pipes termi nating adjacent but in. spaced relation to the air supply pipe and a nozzle, said nozzle provided With a longitudinal bore and a plurality of pockets adjacent but spaced from said bore and adapted to seat the ends of the fluid supply pipes, said longitudinal bore having an enlarged interior bearing seat adapted to receive the bearing on the air supply pipe and one of said pockets communicating with a bore discharging adj acent the longitudinal air bore whereby the fluid supply pipes may be selectively associated with the air supply pipe.
4. In an atomizer having an air supply pipe provided on its end with a compressible bearing and a plurality of fluid supply pipes terminating adjacent but in spaced relation to the air supply pipe, a nozzle comprising a body having a longitudinal bore, said bore provided with an enlarged interiorchamber adapted to seat the compressible bearing on the air supply pipe to permit rotation and sliding of said body upon the air supply pipe and further provided with apl'uralityoi pockets adapted to receive the ends of the'fluid supply pipes and one of said pockets discharging through a passage terminating adjacent said longitudinal bore and a nipple member adapted to be removably secured to the end of said body, said nipple adapted to form, in association with said body, a'm'ixing chamber in communication with the bores thereof and provided with a discharge orifice substantially as specified.
