device is compressed by the hand to form a. cylindrical box, as in Figure 2, the folds overlap each other as shown. hen the receptacle is used as a box as in Figure 2, it is dipped in melted wax, paraffin or some adhesive substance and upon cooling suffices to hold the folds 2 and 3 to: gether in any position and, when the box is to be used as a saucer, it is forcibly spread towards a flattened position, as shown in Figure 3. v v a When the receptacle is used as a box, the top 4 is applied when the same is filled with its contents, and holds the folds in contact with each other in addition to the adhesive dip, by coverin the edge 5. The receptac es are made slightly tapering, as in Figure 2, to permit them to be nested for packing and transportation.
y invention can be desired and is both cheap and effective besides providing a handy carrier for many uses.
I claim A receptacle formed of a single piece of paper, said paper adapted to be unequally and tangentially creased from a given central circular space to the outer edge of the blank to form a cylindrical container and of sufficient stifiness to adapt same to be formed into a flattened position, andcover means a cylindrical form.
