in the county of Oneida and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Curtain Holders, of

which. the following is a specification, refer- I sutl'ic-ient to enable anyone skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same reference being had to the accompanying drawings in which like reference characters refer to like parts throughout the specification.

The Oh ect of the invention is to provide an extension and sash curtain rod holder that will be of simple construction, durable and of artistic design. holder is made in such a manner that it can be readily adjusted to different sizes of windows and can be as readily detached from its mountings, whereby to suspend; the curtain therefrom.

Referring; more particularly to the drawings, the extension curtain rod holder embodies a set of brackets 1, 1, which are disposed upon the upper opposite sides of the casing 2 of the window frame. Each of the brackets 1-1 has parts 3 and 4: formed at right angles to each other. The part 3 is provided with a. central raised portion 5 adapted to form a chamber 6 with the contiguous surface of the casing 2. when Furthermore, the

The part a of the bracket 1 has a flange 10 against which the portion 11 of the respective arms 8 and 9 abut, whereby to prevent the free ends 12 and 13 of said arms 8 and 9 respectively from sagging in the middle of the window.

It will be noted. however. tliatthe attaclunent of thesaid brackets ilwill aid in holding together the adjacent parts of sa d casing.

In a curtain holder, brackets, so formed and mounted as to provide horizontal chamhers, arms having horizontal parts adapted to slide within said chambers, whereby to hold said arms in a removable manner to said brackets said arms having parts formed at right angles to said horizontal parts, and adapted to be disposed vertically, whereby so hold the free ends of said arms below the 10- eation of said chambers, the free ends of said arms being celescoped together to allow for the longitudinal extension of said arms, said brackets having flanges adapted to engage gmg.
