useful improvements in fly catchers and has for its Vprimary object to provide a Hy catcher in the form of a glass or other transparent cup having a funnel-shaped cover constituting an entrance to the cup for the flies with a normally open outlet adjacent the upper end of the cup body.

A further object of the invention resides in the provision of a fly catcher in the form of a glass receptacle or cup wherein the removable funnel-shaped cover constituting" the entrance to the cup for the flies is provided with a plurality of depending concentric ribs, the continuity of which is varied by sections of increased area and reversely curved parts to create many different reflecting surfaces to assist in the retention of the trapped iies within the receptacle.

With the above general objects inview and others that will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the novel form, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, shown in the accompanying drawing and claimed. l
