In a card case of the type described a plate removably engaging'within the body member of the case having a slot formed therein, a card shifting bar slidingly and tiltingly mounted in the slot of the plate having engaging means formed on the free end projecting toward the cards when such are disposed in such cases, operating means connected to the card shiftingpbar with one end and to the top member of the case with the other end normally holding the engaging member of the card shittingbar,disengaged from the cards in such cases, the shifting bar being slidingly held on the lower end while the free upper end with the card engaging means forms the gravity means by which the card shifting bar is caused to fall with the card engaging means toward the cards when released by the operatingm'eans when the card case is opened.

In a card case comprising a body member and a top member hingedly connected to the body member having also a locking means opposite to the hinge, a plate removably disposed inthe body member of the case, the plate having a slot in the direction toward the opening of the case, a card shiftingmembcr of the width ofthe slot in the plate slidingly fitting with the longitudinal edges within the slot, the upper end of the card" shifting member terminating in a pointed end for engaging with the cards disposed in the case, the lower end of the card shifting meinber'being bent projecting behind the plate, lugs being formed on the longitudinal edges ofthe bent lower end engaging behind the plate preventing the card shiftin g member from disengaging from the plate, the bent end of the card shifting 'niember terminating in a pin,- and an-operating rod engaging with one end with the ber of the case having also a slot provided I therein, a card shifting bar fitting With its longitudinal edges slidingly in the slot having means on one end slidingly engaging with the plate While the long free end of the card shifting bar is formed narrower allowing a tilting of this end toward the cards When such are inserted into the case, and operating means connected to the card shifting bar and the top member of the case.
9. In a card case comprising a body member and a top member, a plate having means removably engaging Within the body member of the case having also a slot provided therein, a card shifting bar fitting With its longitudinal edges slidingly in the slot having tWo lugs formed on one end engaging slidingly behind the plate and having also a short extension end beyond the engaging lugs, the main part of the shifting bar forming a tilting member having a pointed end projecting toward the cards When such are disposed in the case, and an operating bar connected to the short extension end of the shifting bar With one end and with the other end to the top member of the case.
10. In a card case comprising a body memher and a top member, a plate fitting in the body member of the case, card shifting means slidingly mounted on the plate, operating means connected to the card shifting means and to the top member of the case, and a spring secured inside of the case opposite to the card shifting means and the plate, the top member being provided With a slot in a position to allow the card thrown out of the case by the shifting means to slip out of the case through the top member before the top member is entirely opened.
