To all whom it may concern Be itknown that I, FERDINAND W. KROGH, California, have invented useful Improvements in. whereof the following is a certain new and Turbine-Pumps, specification. y
My present invention relates to turbine pumps in general and more particularly to that class of pumps which are intended to be submerged or placed below the iiuid level of the well or cistern in which the same may be applied and consists in the arrangement and construction of pressure stagings with pressure regulating means in the impellers of each stage.
'Ihe object of my a centrifugal pump, the impeller of which motion with an angle equal to the angle at in contact with the for discharge of iiuid which the fluid comes imparting surface.
Another object of my invention is to provide a centrifugal pump in which the impeller is balanced in the fluid without thrust bearings and maintains comparatively a' steady position by regulating means therein'.

The mode of operation of my invention is as follows r-The shaft 3 is set in motion by any particular source ofl power which revolves the impeller S in the direction of the arrow Fig. t, creating a suction for the fluid and drawinv the same around the surface of the impelIer ports in tlrel x'direction of the arrow, and discharging the same to the next area above through the v`horizontal Vanesa in the form of the tractrix shown in Figs. l and 3.
