ToaZZ evhom it may concern: 7 Y Be it known that I, Josnrri FRANK, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at Dupon't, Pittston, in the county of Luzerne and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Insecticide-Distributers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings. 1
This invention relates to an improved in secticide distributer and has forits primary obj'ecttp provide a device of thischaracter which 'may be conveniently strapped or otherwise secured upon the body of the operator, said device includingmeans whereby the insecticide may be sprayed or otherwise distributed under pressure upon the foliage.'
The invention has for a more particular object. to provide improved means for 2Q mounting a forcev pump within the tanker reservoir, and certain novel structural features in the pump whereby access may be readily had to the parts thereof for the purpose of cleaning or repairing the same. '25 The invention has for a further general object to produce a device of-the above character which is comparatively light in weight,
highly serviceably and convenient inactual' use and one which may be produced at small manufacturing host.

This pump includes a cylindrical barrel 16 upon the upper end of which'ja plate '17 is secured. The upper end of said pipe is laterally extended and suitably provided for the attachment of a fiexiblehose 1'8 thereto.
To the other end of this hose a 'pipe" 19 is adapted to be coupled,f-or connected, said pipe being provided witha out off valve 206 The outer end of this pipe is equipped with fa suitable spraying nozzle 21. or other suitable material is arranged. This gasket is provided with aseries of openings to receive the upstanding threaded bolts 2% which are suitably fixed in the tank Wall. The lower-end of. the pump barrel 16 is threadedto receive a removable section 26. A cylinder 27 arranged in vertical parallel relation to the pump barrel is suitably secured upon this removable section and passage or .conduit 28 connects the interior of said cylinder at its lower end to the base of the removable barrel section 26. Communication is aiforded between the interior To the bottom of said barrel section a stud bolt 30 is secured upon which a valve disk of rubber or other flexible material shown at 31 is arranged and securely held by means of the nut 32 which is'threaded uponsaid bolt. It will be observed that the lower end of the pipe or tube 18 is disposed at one side of the center of the pump barrel and contiguous to the edge of saidvalve disk.- In
the lower end of the cylinder- 27 a valve cage 33 is removably threaded, a-suitable packing washer 34 being arranged between the lower end of the cylinder and the body of said cage. In the valve cage a ball check valve 35 v is arranged. 36 designates the pump rod which is provided upon its lower end with the plunger-or'piston 37 which reciprocates in the cylinder 27.
