To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, GEORGE E. CAMPBELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at lVhite Bear, in the county of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, have invented new and I useful Improvements in Electric Bath-Cabimovable table therefor, the latter serving as a support for the body of a patient at full length and as a carriage to move the patient into and out of the housing, said'housing being adapted to receive the patient while reclining upon the table and to inclose his body while his head is exposed to the outer In the drawings, Figure 1 is a [perspective view showing the cabinet cldsed; Fig. 2 is a vertical, central, sectional view of the same; Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the cabinet showing the table and cabinet door in positions to receive a patient and Fig. 4 is an end elevation in. detail illustrating the mounting of the cabinet door and the spring arrangment at one end thereof.

' Referring to the drawings, I have used the reference numeral 10 to indicate the housing. One end frame of said housing is an angle iron 11 bentin the form of an inverted U and the other end frame consists of angle irons 12 and 13, the formerbeing'bent in the shape of an inverted L and the latter forming an upright post, These frames are reinforced by transverse bars 14 and are joined by longitudinal bars 15 and 16. The end 17 back 18 andtop 19 of the housing are solid rectangular sheets of .metal or the like secured inany suitable manner-to the frame. The end 20 is simil r to the end 17, excepting that the upper orward portion thereof is cutaway as will be more fullyv hereinafter described. The panel 22 of sheet metal, or the like, is secured to the bars 16 on the front side of the cabinet.

The table 25 provides a supportv upon which a patient may lie, and a carriage for movgng said patient into and out of the housing 10. This table comprises side and end rails 29 and 0, legs 27 with casters 28 thereon, a remova le concave top 26 formed with parallel slats 31, joined by cleats 32, and a head rest 33 secured to and extending beyond one of the end rails 30. The handles 34 on the side rail 29 furnish means by which said table may be moved. Openings 24, between the panel 22 and the end frames 11 and 13, receive the forward legs 27 of the table and the opening 21, formed in the end 20, furnishes a passage through which the head rest 33 and the neck of the patient may move when the table is placed within the cabinet.

The cabinet is provided with a swinging door 35, composed of a front panel36,

formed with flanges 40 and 41, and an end panel 37, formed with a flange 42. When the housing is shut, the fixed panel 22,-the

table 25 and the panel 36, of the swinging door 35, inclose the front of the cabinet. The end panel 37 of said swinging door is formed with an opening 45 corresponding with a contiguous opening 44 in the end wall 20 of the cabinet, which, when the door is. in

closed position, form an aperture through which the rest 33 and the head of the atient protrude when said door is close The front panel 36 of said door 35 is provided with an arm 38 and said arm and the end panel 37 are attached by pivots 39 to the end frames of the cabinet and swing thereon from closed position, as shown in Fig. 1 to open position, as illustrated in Fig. 3.

The drip pan 51, suspended by hooks 52 beneath the top 26, is carried by the table and clears the panel 22, as said table is moved into and out of the housing.

In use, the table is first drawn out with the door 35 raised as shown in Fig. 3.

-The patient lies at full length upon the tasired, to permit cold applications or the like. After sufficient exposure to the heat within the cabinet, the lamps are extinguished, the door raised and the table withdrawn to present the patient in convenient position for immediate treatment.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Patent, is: 1. In a cabinet, the combination of a hous ing and an operating table slidable therein, said table being provided with a head rest adapted to extend through an aperture in the end of said cabinet and a closure for the front of said cabinet formed by a pivoted door and one side of said table.

2. In a cabinet, a housing having sides, ends and a top, one of said sides and ends being each formed with an opening therein, a table slidable into and out of the housing through the opening in said side, a head rest on said table adapted to pass through the opening in the end and a door for said openings.

3. In a cabinet, a housing having sides, ends and a top, one of said sides and ends being each formed with an opening therein, a table slidable into and out of'the housing through the opening in said side, a head rest on the tableadapted to pass through the opening in the end and a'door for said openings, said door and end being formed with contiguous marginal openings adapted to form an aperture to receive said head rest and the neck of the patient when said door is closed.

4. In a cabinet, a housing having sides,

openings comprising a side and end panel,

and an arm on the side panel,- said arm and end panel being pivoted upon the ends of the housing to permit the door to swing upwardly and rest upon said top and swing downwardly to close said openings.

5. In a cabinet, a housing having sides,

ends and a top, one of said sides and ends being each formed wlth an opening therein,

a table slidable into and out of the housing through the opening in said side, a head rest on the table adapted to pass through the opening in said end, a door for said openings, comprising a side and end panel, and an arm on the side panel, said arm and end panel being pivoted upon the ends of the housing to permit the door to swing upwardly and rest upon said top and swing downwardly to close said openings, and a spring attached at one end to said door and at its other end to said housing to counter balance the former.

6, In a cabinet, the combination of a housing and an operating table slidable therein, a closure for the front of said cabinet comprising one side of said table and a door pivoted above the table, and a head rest, carried by said table, adapted to slide beneath said door when open and to protrude through the end of the cabinet when the door is closed.

7. In a cabinet, a housing having sides, ends and a top, one of said sides and ends being each formed with an opening therein, a table slidable into and out of the housing through the opening in said side and forming a partial closure for said opening, a head reston the table, adapted to passthrough the opening in said end and a door for said openings, said door and end having adjacent portions thereof cut away to form an aperture to receive said head rest and the neck of the patient when said door is closed.
