Abstract

A process for preparation of a catalyst by precipitation from solutions of copper, zinc and aluminium nitrates by a solution of sodium carbonate at the temperature of 50-80 °C, pH equal to 6.0 – 8.0 with subsequent isolation of a sediment, washing, drying, burning and tableting. Precipitation is conducted at continuous feed of the solutions into the reaction system, which consists of one or several reactors, and continuous removal of a suspension from the system. The average retention time of copper-zinc-aluminium compound in the reaction zone is from 3 to 60 min.
