Abstract

A method for pressing of optical fiber bundle ends comprises compression of optical fibers against each other in a heater. For improvement of bundle quality the compression is carried out via the twisting of the bundle and effect of axial stretching force. The invention relates to the field of fiber-optic article production, in particular, to methods for treatment of optical fiber bundle ends via pressing thereof.
