Abstract

The method to purify the carbon monoxide contained in the emission from motorcycle in which Al2O3 is used as the carrier coated with Pt and Rh catalystand soaked with potassium as the stimulator; the K/AL ratio is 1~5 mole% which will effectively reduce the hazard of carbon monoxide concentration in the exhaust gas from the motorcycle; their major characteristics are illustrated in the following graphics: Fig. 1 shows CO conversion ratio when the equivalent and water are not pesent; Fig. 2 shows propene conversion ratio when equivalent S=1 and no water present; Fig. 3 shows an improvement of CO conversion ratio when S=0.17 and no water present; Fig. 4 shows an improvement of propene conversion ratio when S=0.17 and no water present; Fig. 5 shows an improvement of CO conversion ratio when S=0.17 and no water present; Fig. 6 shows an improvement of propene conversion ratio when S=0.17 and no water present; Fig. 7 is a statistic showing the conversion ratios of CO and propene under the condition when S=0.17, temperature 550 DEG C with or without water presence.
