Abstract

A flat cable connector connecting a plurality of flat conductors on the connection substrate of a flexible insulative portion to a plurality of elastic contacts in a housing, the connection substrate being wider and installed on one surface thereof a plurality of connection contacts for connecting to the flat conductors, and installed on the other surface thereof a reinforcing plate, which is characterized in that: the housing comprises a housing recess for housing the connection substrate of the flat cable; a tail plate and an anti-plugging portion; and the tail plate defining a flat cable receive opening for the flat cable to be pulled through, and a cable housing portion located on the two sides for guiding the two sides of the connection substrate.
