Abstract

An exhaust desulfurization method, which comprises: a desulfurization process comprising contacting the exhaust containing sulfur oxides with a treatment liquid containing a magnesium series desulfurization agent at conditions where the treatment liquid is at temperatures of 50~60℃ and has a pH of 5.0~7.5, in order to allow the sulfur oxides contained in the exhaust to be absorbed by the treatment liquid, in which the magnesium series desulfurization agent is comprised of alkaline magnesium compounds comprising magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide as the main ingredient, and the treatment liquid obtained in the desulfurization process is an aqueous solution comprising a mixture of magnesium sulfite, magnesium hydrogen sulfite and magnesium sulfate, as well as a suspension of gypsum dihydrate and minute amount of calcium sulfite; an oxidation process comprising contacting the treatment liquid of the desulfurization process with an oxygen-containing gas in order to convert the magnesium salts in the treatment liquid into magnesium sulfate and adjust the pH value of the treatment liquid to 2~3; a double decomposition process comprising adding an alkaline calcium compound into the treatment liquid of the oxidation process and decomposing the magnesium sulfate in the treatment liquid into magnesium hydroxide, and recycling the mixture slurry obtained from the double decomposition process to the desulfurization process, while removing the gypsum dihydrate from the treatment liquid out of the system; which is characterized in that the mixture slurry obtained from the double decomposition process is added with a part of the treatment liquid from the desulfurization process and the calcium ions in the mixture slurry are converted into calcium sulfite, followed by recycling to the desulfurization process.
