Abstract

This invention provides a cord lock which enables the cord to be locked to pass through easily without hurting the function of the cord lock. The cord lock of this invention includes a male member 1 and a female member 2, the female member 2 having a part which can be operated to press an urging means 3 and accommodated in the female member 2. The cord lock R is configured to align through holes 13, 23 for the cord to pass through at a predetermined pressing position in the male member 1 and the female member 2, the through holes 13, 23 being formed respectively in the male member 1 and in the side portions 11, 12 of the female member 2 and the male member 1. An engaging member 18 is formed in the male member 1 to be engaged with an engaging member 25 formed in the female member 2 by the urging force of the urging means 3 to prevent the male member 1 from moving out from the position before the operation of pressing the male member 1, and a guide portion 17 is formed in the through hole 13 of the male member 1 to facilitate the passing of the cord through the through hole 13 in the male member 1.
