Abstract

A compound applied to an electron transport material and/or an electron injection material is provided. The compound facilitates lowering the driving voltage of an organic electroluminescent device and prolonging its operating life. Furthermore, the organic electroluminescent device utilizing this compound is provided. The novel compound expressed by formula (1) provides solution to the above-mentioned functions. In formula (1), R1 to R4 independently represent hydrogen, alkyl group with carbon numbers between land 6, cycloalkyl group with carbon numbers between 3 and 6, substitutable aromatic ring with carbon numbers between 6 and 18, or substitutable hetero-aromatic ring with carbon numbers between 2 and 18; R5 to R8, R9, R10, R16, and R17 independently represent hydrogen, alkyl group with carbon numbers between 1 and 6, or cycloalkyl group with carbon numbers between 3 and 6; R11 to R15, and R18 to R22 independently represent hydrogen, alkyl group with carbon numbers between land 6, cycloalkyl group with carbon numbers between 3 and 6; substitutable aromatic ring with carbon numbers between 6 and 18, or substitutable hetero-aromatic ring with carbon numbers between 2 and 18.
