Abstract

To provide a water soluble cleaning utensil which achieves a higher contamination removing effect by a higher rigidity when a part to be cleaned such as a toilet is scrubbed and can be dissolved in water in a short time by being discarded into a flush toilet after used. The cleaning utensil 1 are formed out of a fiber compressed body produced by bundling and compressing string bodies 4. The string bodies 4 are formed by twisting a fiber entangled nonwoven fiber which is made of pulp fibers, rayon fibers and the like and gets the rayon fibers and the like entangled by a water jet treatment. The pulp fibers facilitate the maintenance of the twisted form when the fabric is dried and when it is wetted with water, the entangling force of the rayon fibers and the like makes the form of the string bodies 4 maintainable properly. A higher strength in rubbing makes the contamination wipable effectively. The cleaning utensil 1 thus formed out of the fiber compressed body are used being grasped between a support part 122 of a holder 120 and a keep part 123.
