Abstract

The present invention relates to one kind of hydrophilic polyurethane (PU) memory foam and its manufacturing method. Such memory foam comprises preferably 1 to 70 % of hydrophilic PU prepolymer but 40 to 60 % more preferably, 1 to 50 % of acrylic emulsion polymer but 10 to 20 % more preferably, and 1 to 50 % of polyether polyol but 10 to 20 % more preferably, as the main components. The PU prepolymer includes preferably 1 to 80 % of polyether polyol but 40 % to 70 % more preferably and preferably1 to 70 % of isocyanate but 30 to 60 % more preferably; wherein, the polyether polyol has molecular weight in the range of 50 to 2000 and at least contains more than 40 mole % of ethyl ether group (- EO -), specially in the range of 20 % to 99.9 %. In the manufacturing process, the foam-shape is completed by the foaming agent, CO2, which is produced by the reaction of isocyanate and massive water, and then process the high-temperature baking under 50 to 100 DEG C to dehydrate. Such PU memory foams have special hydrophilic polymer structure or polymer backbone, they not only have good cushioning and uniform pressure relief but also have moisture absorbing, thermo-absorbing and low-temperature resistance to achieve the effects of dry (moisture absorbing) and cool (thermo-absorbing) while contacting human body. When temperature is below 10 DEG C, such foams do not cause curing so as to enhance comfortableness in contacting with human body and improve effects in its applications.
