Abstract

This invention relates to an industrially advantageous method for producing optically active α-aminonitrile compound, comprising the step of reacting optically active aldehyde compound containing α-unsymmetry carbon or it's salt, in the presence of solvent containing water, with bisulfite compound to obtain a bisulfite addition product of said aldehyde compound, and the step of reacting thus obtained bisulfite addition product with an optionally substituted primary or secondary amine and cyan compound.
