Abstract

A reference system (7) designed for telephone number identification is connected to a data network (16) designed for data address identification. When a call is made to or from the data network, circuits within or connected to the data network will determine whether the dialled apparatus is referenced in the system. If the dialled apparatus is in the reference system then a data address is generated and sent with the telephone number identification to this system, which allows a new address corresponding to a stored and chosen reference service to be generated, and a link to the new data address to be established.
