Abstract

The invention relates to a capsule housing various types of substances and/or preparations which are to be swallowed. The capsule (1) is constituted by a container part (3), receiving the substance in question, and an upper part or lid (2). The upper closure part (2) consists of an inverted hat formation (4) the cylinder portion (7) of which can sealingly cooperate with and be inserted through the orifice (8) of the container part. A sufficiently wide slot (9) is arranged between the internal envelope surface (11) of the container part (3) and the external envelope surface (10) of the cylinder portion (7) to permit that, upon insertion of the cylinder portion (7) into the container part (3), air or any other undesired substance present in the container part will be expelled by pressure.
