Abstract

Optical arrangement, typically for signals containing a reflector 2 divided into zones and a prism 4 divided into zones inside the light aperture 6 of the reflector and a small light source 3 on the optical axis 5 in order to obtain a sharply defined radiation cone, having the shape of a rectangle and uniform radiation intensity over the cross section. Balancing the light in a transverse direction is done by means of a channel-like reflector 2, each zone P1-P8 of the reflector in this direction distributing the radiation from the light source 3 uniformly to its output angle and giving the radiation pattern one or more complete super-impositions according to the number of reflector zones. Balancing of the light in another transverse direction perpendicular to the first direction is also done by means of the prism 4, each zone L1-L3 of the prism in this direction distributing the radiation from the light source 3 uniformly to its output angle, thereby giving the radiation pattern one or more complete super-impositions according to the number of prism zones. <IMAGE>
