Abstract
Curable compositions of matter which are stable on storage contain in specified proportions, a) an epoxy resin having a functionality of at least 3, b) an epoxy resin having a functionality of 2-2. 5. c) a dihydroxynaphthalene optionally together with a diphenol of the formula I or II <IMAGE> in which T is the direct bond, methylene, isopropylidene, O, S, CO or SO2 and R is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl, as curing agent, and d) an accelerator. The compositions are in particular suitable for the production of prepregs for fibre-reinforced composite materials or for the preparation of adhesive films. They are of low viscosity and the cured mouldings preduced therefrom are distinguished by a high glass transition temperature and good flexural strength.
