Abstract

The air conditioning system comprises compressor (2) driven by the car engine (1) via clutch (11), condenser (3) expansion valve (4) and an evaporator (5). Between condenser and evaporator separator vessel (13) and non return valve (7) are fitted in series. Parallel to the piping connecting condenser with the evaporator a further piping is provided containing pressure resisting valve (8) and a non return valve (10) which opens in direction from the evaporator to the condenser. An electrically switchable four-way valve (6) is fitted which allows reversing the direction of flow of the refrigerant.
