Abstract
The tyre-protection chain has a running part which connects two side parts to each other and is composed of web and ringed links which engage in one another. Some of the web links are constructed as wear links of which some are formed by gripping links. They have at least one gripping element. The wear links and the gripping links are distributed in the running part in accordance with the conditions in which the tyre-protection chain is used. The distribution of the different links in the chain network is undertaken such that in the regions in which a high degree of wear is to be expected wear links having a large wear volume are used and in the regions in which chiefly grip is required gripping links are used.
