Abstract

This support device comprises an upper telescopic tube (2) and a lower telescopic tube (1). The force exerted by the load on the coupling device tends to press the telescopic tube (1) against an elastic member, placed on the fork (4) or on the lower telescopic tube (1). This gives rise to the displacement of a needle (6) with respect to a dial indicator (7), thus making it possible to read off the value of pressure which will be applied to the ball. The dial indicator (7) is furthermore provided with oval holes, allowing the dial indicator (7) to be moved in order to adjust its position with respect to the needle (6). <IMAGE>
