Abstract
: The present invention relates to a coilgun projectile designed to induce rotational spin through directional friction when in contact with the coilgun barrel. The projectile features an outer layer integrated with rubber bands, aligned at a specific angle relative to the horizontal axis. These bands, equipped with angled threads, create varying frictional forces against the barrel's interior as the projectile accelerates. This unique design enables the projectile to initiate a self-induced spin, improving stability and accuracy in flight. The invention is particularly suitable for one-time-use projectiles in military and defense applications.
