Description
A NEW FUNGICDE FORMULATION AND METHOD FOR TREATING POWDERY MILDEW Description Background of the invention Fungal diseases affecting plants remain insunnountable and continue to wreak havoc on the global economy and strategic crops.
To this day no efflcient, cost-effective treatment has been found, except genetically-modified seeds Which have side-effects on humans in the first place and on the ecosystem.
During several years of experience in organic gardening, I identified plant disease and researched methods for mitigation.
One of the formulations showed efficacy against the Powdery mildew; As a result of thisresearch, the world will eventually Witness an end to one of the biggest agricultural pests in asafe, cheap, and effective way that contributes to achieving food security and stability on the planet.
Summary of the invention The present invention relates to a fungicide formulation consisting essentially of the Califomia pepper tree (Schinus Molle) shredded branches and blossoms and the drinking Water.
The invention also relates to a method for preparing the fiingicidal formulation by submergingthe shredded branches and blossoms of the Califomia pepper tree (Schinus Molle) in the drinkingwater according to specific criteria. The liquid will be strained off and the resultant filtered solution is the fungicide formulation.
Particularly, the present invention is directed to the use of such a fungicide formulation; when spraying it on the plants affected with the Powdery mildew, the mildew disappeared directly.
PATENT APPLICATION NO. 2030378-0 A NEW FUNGICDE FORMULATION AND METHOD FOR TREATING POWDERY MILDEW Detailed description of the inventionIngredients: California pepper tree (Schinus Molle) and drinking water.
Method: A quantity of twigs is taken whole with the flowers (at the blossoming stage). Thesebranches are chopped by wood shredder into small, smooth pieces that are placed in a suitablelarge container and completely submerged with drinking water at a temperature of about 25degrees for a period of not less than 20 hours. The soaking water is filtered and sprayed on theaffected crop.
The Active substance available in the California pepper tree (Schinus Molle) shredded branchesand blossoms and one inert substance which is the drinking water The application was applied to the crop under direct sunlight.
After the first application of the solution to the affected plant, the mildew disappeared.Insects feeding on plant leaves have also disappeared.
The solution had no effect on the bees (the bees retumed to the treated area the next day).
The person who sprayed the organic solution did not show any symptoms of poisoning / allergicreaction despite not wearing a mask or protective clothing.
It is not necessary to re-apply more than once to the same crop / some buming spots may appearon the cucumber leaves.
The Schinus Molle tree grows in several places around the world, but the material used wasgrown in the middle-east, at a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius in winter and 37 in summer, anda humidity of about 67%.
Samples were taken and applied between April and May.
