Abstract

The invention relates to a tray (1) of corrugated cardboard including a plane base (2) which is integrally connected to mutually opposed short walls and long walls (4, 3) being attached to each other. The base (2) of the tray has a length L1, which after subtraction of the sum of the thick¬ nesses 2t of short walls (8) is shorter than the sum of the lengths of the objects to be contained, and the width L2 of the base (2) has a length L1, which after subtraction of the sum of the thicknesses 2t of the long walls (7) is shorter than or at the most equal to the sum of the lengths of the objects to be contained in the tray. The short walls are connected to the long walls by inclined corner walls (5) arranged to bear on the content of the tray and create a pressure towards it.
