Abstract

The invention concerns a steel material having a good corrosion resistance and the following chemical composition in weight -%: 0.7-1.6 (C + N), of which max. 0.8 N, 0.1-2.0 Si, 0.1-1,5 Mn, 14-19 Cr, from traces to max. 2.0 Ni, from traces to max. 2.0 Co, 1.5-4.0 (Mo + W/2), however at least 1.0 Mo och max. 1.0 W, 0.5-3,0 V, <0.1 Nb, from traces to max. 0.2 S, balance iron and impurities in normal amounts. The steel is suitable to be used for construction elements, fixtures in eroding machines, and moul tools.
