Способ измерения апикального базиса челюстей, заключающийся в том, что гипсовую модель устанавливают и закрепляют на горизонтальном столике, отличающийся тем, что измерения производят бесконтактным путем, направляя одновременно с двух сторон тонкие лучи, например лазерные, оптоэлектронной измерительной системы на модель, начиная на уровне дистальных поверхностей первых постоянных моляров в медиальном направлении по всей длине альвеолярной дуги до пересечения лучей в центре на уровне межрезцовой линии, измеряют длину альвеолярной дуги Dа, аналогичным образом измеряют длину базальной Dб и зубной Dз дуг, сравнивают их между собой и по величине разности судят о степени сужения челюсти и характере ее роста.1.
