Inventia se refera la un procedeu de preparare a unor 5-fenoxi-2-nitrobenzoati cu activitate erbicida, cu formula generala I: (vezi formula) în care A reprezinta nitro, X reprezinta hidrogen sau halogen, Y reprezinta hidrogen, halogen, cian, trifluormetil sau alchil cu 1...4 atomi de carbon, Z reprezinta oxigen sau sulf, R reprezinta alchilen monosubstituit continînd 1...3 atomi de carbon, în care substituentul este ales din grupa constituita din alchil, oxoalchil sau hidroxialchil continînd 1...4 atomi de carbon si R1 reprezinta hidrogen continînd 1...10 atomi de carbon, cicloalchil continînd 3...8 atomi de carbon, un ion acceptabil din punct de vedere agronomic, fenil, fenil monosubstituit, disubstituit sau trisubstituit, în care substituentii sunt alesi din grupa constituita din halogen, alchil sai alcoxi continînd 1...10 atomi de carbon, cian, nitro sau trifluormetil, prin tratarea unui benzoil-derivat cu formula generala II: (vezi formula) în care X si Y au semnificatiile...The invention relates to a process for the preparation of herbicidal 5-phenoxy-2-nitrobenzoates of the general formula I wherein A represents nitro, X represents hydrogen or halogen, Y represents hydrogen, halogen, cyano, trifluoromethyl or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms, Z represents oxygen or sulfur, R represents mono-substituted alkylene containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, wherein the substituent is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, oxoalkyl or hydroxyalkyl containing 1.
