Chemical tin plating from a bath containing methane-sulfonic acid and/or one of its salts. Preferred Features: Plating is carried out under an inert gas atmosphere using a tin bath which contains tin methane-sulfonate, as the tin source, and which is regenerated by membrane electrolysis.
