Abstract

A seat hinge structure for saddled vehicles, in which a seat 9 on which a vehicle rider is to sit is supported on the vehicle body side so as to be openable and closable by a hinge mechanism 50. The hinge mechanism 50 comprises: a vehicle-body-side hinge portion 51 which is attached to a vehicle-body-side component 13; a seat-side hinge portion 52 which is supported on one end of the vehicle-body-side hinge portion 51 so as to be rotatable up to a predetermined angle ?2 with respect to the vehicle-body-side hinge portion 51; a first arm portion 58 which is supported by, and which allows the rotation of the other end of the seat-side hinge portion 52 to a predetermined angle ?1 with respect to the vehicle-body-side hinge portion 51; a second arm portion 60 which is rotatably supported by the first arm portion 58; and a linking portion 61 which couples the second arm portion 60 and the seat-side hinge portion 52. The seat-side hinge portion 52 and the first arm portion 58 are coupled to each other with the linking portion 61 rotatably supported by the seat-side hinge portion 52 and the second arm portion 60 rotatably supported by the first arm portion 58 being interposed therebetween. The coupling position 64 where the second arm portion 60 and the linking portion 61 are coupled is provided in a manner allowing relative movement by the rotation, at the predetermined angle ?1 or more, of the seat side hinge portion 52.
