Abstract
본 발명에 따르면, 용량성 부하를 구동하는 구동 회로는 제1전극 및 제2전극을 갖고 있다. 구동 회로는 제1전극에 접속되고, 제1기간 동안 상기 제1전극에 전하를 인가하고 제2기간 동안 1전극으로부터 전하를 받아들이는 제1충전부; 상기 제2전극에 접속되고, 상기 제1기간 동안 상기 제2전극으로부터 전하를 받아들이고 상기 제2기간 동안 상기 제2전극에 전하를 인가하는 제2충전부; 상기 제1기간과 상기 제2기간 사이의 제3기간 동안 상기 제1충전부와 상기 제1전극 사이에서 전하의 이동을 금지시키는 제1부; 상기 제3기간 동안 상기 제2충전부와 상기 제2전극 사이에서 전하의 이동을 금지시키는 제2부; 및 상기 제3기간에 포함되는 제4기간 동안 상기 제1전극과 상기 제2전극 사이에서 전하의 이동을 허용하는 제3부를 포함하고 있다.

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 구동 회로의 기본 개념을 설명하는 회로도, 제2도는 제1도에 도시된 구동 회로의 동작을 설명하는 파형도, 제3도는 제1실시예에 따른 구동 회로의 구성을 도시한 블럭도, 제4도는 본 발명의 제2실시예에 따른 구동 회로의 동작을 설명하는 회로도.
Claims (8)
- 제1전극과 제2전극을 갖고 있는 용량성 부하를 구동시키기 위한 구동 회로에 있어서, 상기 제1전극에 접속되고, 제1기간 동안 상기 제1전극에 전하를 인가하고 제2기간 동안 상기 1전극으로부터 전하를 받아들이는 제1충천 수단, 상기 제2전극에 접속되고, 상기 제1기간 동안 상기 제2전극으로부터 전하를 받아들이고 상기 제2기간 동안 상기 제2전극에 전하를 인가하는 제2충전 수단, 상기 제1기간과 상기 제2기간 사이의 제3기간 동안 상기 제1충전 수단과 상기 제1전극 사이에서 전하의 이동을 금지시키는 제1수단, 상기 제3기간 동안 상기 제2충전 수단과 상기 제2전극 사이에서 전하의 이동을 금지시키는 제2수단, 및 상기 제3기간에 포함되는 제4기간 동안 상기 제1전극과 상기 제2전극 사이에서 전하의 이동을 허용하는 제3수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구동 회로.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1수단, 상기 제2수단 및 제3수단은 스위칭 회로를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구동 회로.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭 회로는 전계 효과 트랜지스터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구동 회로.
- 한쌍의 기판 중 한쪽에는 그 위에 데이타 전극이 제공되고 다른쪽에는 그 위에 공통 전극이 제공되는, 디스플레이 매체를 사이에 두고 서로 대향하여 배치되는 한쌍의 기판을 포함하는 액정 디스플레이 장치를 구동 하기 위한 구동 회로에 있어서, 공통 전극 전압을 공통 전극에 공급하는 공통 전극 전압 공급 수단, 상기 공통 전극 전압의 극성에 대하여 포지티브 또는 네거티브로 반전되는 극성을 갖는 계조 전압을 상기 데이타 전극에 공급하는 계조 전압 공급 수단, 상기 데이타 전극에 공급된 상기 계조 전압의 극성이 반전되는 시간을 포함하는 제1기간 동안 상기 공통 전극 전압 공급 수단과 상기 공통 전극을 서로 전기적으로 절연시키는 제1수단, 상기 제1기간 동안 상기 공통 전극 전압 공급 수단과 상기 공통 전극을 서로 전기적으로 절연시키는 제2수단, 및 상기 제1기간에 포함된 제2기간 동안 상기 공통 전극과 상기 데이타 전극을 서로 전기적으로 절연시키는 제3수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이 장치를 구동하는 구동 회로.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제1, 상기 제2 및 상기 제3수단은 스위칭 회로를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구동 회로.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭 회로가 전계 효과 트랜지스터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이 장치를 구동하는 구동 회로.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 공통 전극 전압 공급 수단은, 하이 레벨 직류 전압을 공급하는 제1전압 공급 수단, 및 로우 레벨 직류 전압을 공급하는 제2전압 공급 수단으로 포함하되, 상기 제1전압 공급 수단과 상기 제2전압 공급 수단으로부터의 각각의 출력은 상기 제1수단에 의해 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이 장치를 구동하는 구동 회로.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 계조 전압 공급 수단은, 하이 레벨 직류 전압을 공급하는 제1전압 공급 수단, 및 로우 레벨 직류 전압을 공급하는 제2전압 공급 수단을 포함하되, 상기 제1전압 공급 수단과 상기 제2전압 공급 수단으로부터의 각각의 출력은 상기 제2수단에 의해 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이 장치를 구동하는 구동 회로.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
