Abstract
본 발명에 따른 회수방법에 따르면, 고강도의 폐 초경합금 스크랩을 분쇄 또는 분해하는 복잡한 공정 없이, 폐 초경합금 슬러지에 포함되어 있는 각종 연마제 등의 이물질을 효과적으로 분리할 수 있으며, 고온 및 고압 등의 복잡하고 번거로운 반응 공정 없이, 폐 초경합금을 효과적으로 용해시켜 반응을 진행시킴으로써 우수한 회수율로 희유금속을 회수할 수 있다.
Description
도 2는 폐 초경합금 슬러지(A), 건조된 폐 초경합금 슬러지의 X-선 회절(X-ray diffraction, XRD) 결과(B), 및 폐 초경합금 슬러지의 원소분석 결과(C)이다.
도 3은 폐 초경합금 슬러지의 산화물(A), 이의 XRD 결과(B), 및 이의 원소분석 결과(C)이다.
도 4는 폐 초경합금 산화물을 NaOH 수용액에서 1시간 교반 후 여과시의 잔여 분말(A), 4시간 교반 후 여과시의 잔여 분말(B), 및 4시간 교반 후 여과시의 여과된 통과용액 분말(C)의 XRD 결과이다.
도 5는 폐 초경합금 산화물을 NaOH 수용액에서 12시간 동안 각각 기계적 밀링 및 교반을 수행한 후의 잔여 분말의 XRD 결과(A), 기계적 밀링 후 잔여 분말의 원소분석 결과(B), 및 교반 후 잔여 분말의 원소분석 결과(C)이다. 교반한 분말의 경우에는 미 용해 텅스텐이 존재 하였음을 알 수 있다.
도 6은 폐 초경합금 슬러지를 산화시키지 않은 텅스텐 카바이드와 코발트인 경우(A) 및 산화시킨 산화물인 경우(B)에, 각각의 용매를 사용하여 기계적 밀링을 수행하여 얻은 생성물의 XRD 결과이다.
도 7은 폐 초경합금 산화물을 NaOH 수용액에서 기계적 밀링하는 공정에 있어서, 밀링 시간에 따른 잔여 분말 무게(g)를 나타낸 그래프(A), 밀링 시간에 따른 잔여 분말의 XRD 결과(B), 4시간 밀링 후 잔여 분말의 원소분석 결과(C), 밀링 시간에 따른 통과용액 분말의 XRD 결과(D), 및 4시간 밀링 후 통과용액 분말의 원소분석 결과(E)이다. 잔여 분말에는 텅스텐이 존재하지 않는 반면, 통과 용액에는 텅스텐이 다량 존재함을 알 수 있었고, 기계적·화학적 밀링 반응 공정을 통하여 반응이 촉진되었음을 알 수 있다.
도 8은 삼산화텅스텐을 NaOH 수용액에서 기계적 밀링하는 공정에 있어서, NaOH 혼합 비율에 따른 잔여 분말 무게(g)를 나타낸 그래프(A), 잔여 분말의 XRD 결과(B), 얻어진 통과용액의 성상(C), 및 이를 건조 시켜 회수한 분말의 XRD 결과(D)이다.
도 9는 삼산화텅스텐을 NaOH 수용액에서 기계적 밀링에 의한 기계·화학적 공정에 있어서, 물의 혼합량에 따른 잔여 분말 무게(g)의 변화를 나타낸 그래프(A), 물 50 mL 혼합시 잔여 분말의 성상(B), 물 50 mL 혼합시 잔여 분말의 원소분석 결과(C), 물 200 mL 혼합시 잔여 분말의 성상(D), 및 물 200 mL 혼합시 잔여 분말의 원소분석 결과(E)이다.
도 10은 삼산화텅스텐을 NaOH 수용액에서 기계적 밀링에 의한 기계·화학적 공정에서 얻은 통과용액을 건조시켜 회수한 분말의 주사전자현미경(SEM) 이미지(A), XRD 결과(B), 및 원소분석 결과(C)이다.
도 11은 밀링 공정을 완료한 후 생성물을 여과하여 얻어진 통과용액에 염산을 첨가시 pH 14.1(A), pH 8.2(B), pH 5(C), pH 2.6(D), 및 pH 1.6(E) 시점의 성상을 나타낸다.
도 12는 통과용액에 염산 첨가시, 각 pH에서의 침전물 무게를 나타내는 그래프(A), 침전물의 성상(B), 침전물 분말의 XRD 결과(C), 및 침전물을 여과하여 얻은 XRD 결과(D)이다.
도 13은 통과용액에 35% 염산 첨가시의 침전 양상(A) 및 침전물의 SEM 이미지(B), 5% 염산 첨가시의 침전 양상(C) 및 침전물의 SEM 이미지(D)이다.
도 14는 침전된 텅스텐산을 분리하는 단계에서 원심분리 및 여과 공정에 의한 세척에 있어서 세척횟수에 따른 pH 변화(A) 및 Na 농도 변화(B)를 나타내 그래프이다.
도 15는 통과용액에 염산을 첨가하여 얻은 텅스텐산의 성상(A), 열처리하여 얻어진 삼산화텅스텐(B), 삼산화텅스텐의 SEM 이미지(C), XRD 결과(D), 및 원소분석 결과(E)이다.
도 16은 텅스텐산을 수소 가스(H2) 및 공기중에서 열중량분석(Thermo gravimetric analysis, TGA) 수행한 결과이다.
도 17은 텅스텐산을 공기 중에서 열처리하여 얻은 물질의 SEM 이미지(350 ℃(A) 및 750 ℃(B))와 XRD 결과(C)이다.
도 18은 텅스텐산을 H2 분위기에서 열처리하여 얻은 물질의 SEM 이미지(350 ℃(A), 750 ℃(B) 및 750 ℃(C))와 XRD 결과(C)이다.

Claims (16)
- (a) 텅스텐카바이드를 포함하는 폐 초경합금 또는 이의 산화물을 금속염의 존재 하에서 기계적 에너지를 동시에 작용시켜 화학적 반응시켜 용해시키는 단계;
(b) 단계(a)에서 얻어진 용액으로부터 불용성 물질을 제거하는 단계;
(c) 단계(b)에서 얻어진 용액에 산을 가하여 텅스텐산을 침전시키는 단계; 및
(d) 단계(c)에서 침전된 텅스텐산을 분리하는 단계
를 포함하는 텅스텐산의 회수방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 폐 초경합금이 폐 초경합금 슬러지 또는 폐 초경합금 스크랩인 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 폐 초경합금 슬러지가 헥산, 알코올, 나트륨염 용액, 칼륨염 용액, 칼슘염 용액, 스트론튬염 용액, 바륨염 용액, 마그네슘염 용액, 세슘염 용액 및 망간염 용액으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 액체와의 교반에 의해 유기화합물이 제거된 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 폐 초경합금의 산화물이 상기 폐 초경합금을 하소 및 산화시켜 얻어진 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 기계적 밀링이 50 rpm 이상에서 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 기계적 밀링이 1시간 이상 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 금속염이 나트륨, 칼륨, 칼슘, 스트론튬, 바륨, 마그네슘, 세슘 및 망간으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 금속염이 수산화나트륨, 탄산나트륨, 탄산수소나트륨, 황산나트륨, 소듐 라우릴 설페이트, 질산나트륨, 탄산칼슘 및 수산화칼슘으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 금속염이 텅스텐 1 당량에 대하여 2 당량 이상의 금속염인 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(a)의 상기 금속염이 물, 메탄올, 에탄올 및 과산화수소로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 용매에 용해된 상태로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텅스텐 화합물의 회수방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(b) 및 단계(d)가 독립적으로 여과 또는 원심분리에 의해 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회수방법.
- 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항의 회수방법에 의하여 회수된 텅스텐산을 열처리하는 단계를 포함하는 삼산화텅스텐의 제조방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 텅스텐산을 콜로이드화한 후 분무건조, 동결건조 및 분무열분해로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 어느 하나의 방법으로 건조한 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제12항의 제조방법에 의하여 제조된 삼산화텅스텐을 환원시키는 단계를 포함하는 텅스텐의 제조방법.
- 제12항의 제조방법에 의하여 제조된 삼산화텅스텐을 환원 및 침탄시키거나, 환원시킨 후 침탄시키는 단계를 포함하는 텅스텐카바이드의 제조방법.
- 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항의 회수방법에 의하여 회수된 텅스텐산을 환원 및 침탄시키거나, 환원시킨 후 침탄시키는 단계를 포함하는 텅스텐카바이드의 제조방법.
