The following detailed description of the invention refers to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate, by way of illustration, specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. These embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the invention. It should be understood that the various embodiments of the present invention are different, but need not be mutually exclusive. For example, certain features, structures, and characteristics described herein may be implemented in other embodiments without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention in connection with one embodiment. It is also to be understood that the position or arrangement of the individual components within each disclosed embodiment may be varied without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. The following detailed description is, therefore, not to be taken in a limiting sense, and the scope of the present invention is to be limited only by the appended claims, along with the full scope of equivalents to which such claims are entitled, if properly explained. In the drawings, like reference numerals refer to the same or similar functions throughout the several views.

Hereinafter, an apparatus 100 including a favorite mode operation method and a touch screen for performing the method according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

1 is a structural diagram of an apparatus 100 according to an embodiment of the invention.

The apparatus 100 according to an embodiment may include a controller 110, a touch screen 130, and a processor 140.

The apparatus 100 may be an apparatus that includes a touch screen 130 and an input to the apparatus 100 may be performed through a touch to the touch screen 130.

The device 100 may be a portable electronic device, such as a notebook computer, a personal digital assistant (PDA), and a smart phone.

The touch screen 130 may include a touch sensor panel 131 and a display panel 132. For example, the touch screen 130 may include a touch sensor panel 131, which may be a transparent panel having a touch-sensitive surface, And the touch-sensitive surface may be attached to the front surface of the panel 132 to cover the visible surface of the display panel 132.

The display panel 132 is a panel capable of displaying a screen so that the user can visually confirm the contents. At this time, the display for the display panel 132 may be performed through a display driver. A display driver (not shown) is a kind of device driver as software for the operating system to manage or control the display adapter.

For example, the touch sensor panel 131 according to the embodiment may include two electrodes whose mutual capacitances change when a touch occurs with respect to the touch sensor panel 131.

The touch screen 130 allows the user to manipulate the computing system by touching (touching) the screen with objects such as fingers. Generally, the touch screen 130 recognizes touches on the panel, and the computing system can perform calculations accordingly by interpreting such touches.

The processor 140 can detect whether the touch sensor panel 131 is touched and the position of the touch when the touch sensor panel 131 is touched. In addition, the processor 140 may measure a change in capacitance caused by a touch when touching the touch sensor panel 131.

For example, the magnitude of the mutual capacitance change amount may vary depending on the touch pressure and / or the touch area at the time of touch. Accordingly, when touching the touch sensor panel 131, the processor 140 can measure the magnitude of the capacitance change according to the touch pressure and / or the touch area. Here, the smaller the touch pressure and / or the touch area, the smaller the capacitance change amount, and the larger the touch pressure and / or the touch area, the larger the capacitance change amount.

Specifically, the amount of capacitance change generated by the object 10 touched to the touch sensor panel 131 can be measured as the sum of the capacitance change amounts of the plurality of sensing cells. For example, as shown in FIG. 2A, when the touch inputted to the touch sensor panel 131 by the object 10 is a general touch, the sum of the amounts of change in capacitance is two. 2B, when the touch inputted to the touch sensor panel 131 by the object 10 is a pressure-applied touch, the sum of changes in capacitance is 570 (= 90 + 70 + 70 + 70 + 70 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50).

3A, when the area of the object 10 to be touched by the touch sensor panel 131 is a, the capacitance change amount is 90 (= 50 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10). 3B, when the area of the object 10 to be touched on the touch sensor panel 131 is b, the capacitance change amount is 310 (= 50 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20). 3A and 3B, the magnitude of the pressure applied when the touch sensor panel 131 is touched by the object 10 may be equal to or equal to zero.

Particularly, the processor 140 according to the embodiment of the present invention does not directly touch the touch sensor panel 131, but the object such as a finger is sufficiently close enough to cause a change in capacitance in the touch sensor panel 131, A hover close to the panel 131 can be recognized.

For example, when the object is located within about 2 cm from the surface of the touch sensor panel 131, the processor 140 can detect the position of the object along with the presence or absence of the object through a change in capacitance.

The movement amount of the object is recognized as hovering with respect to the touch sensor panel 131, the amount of change in the capacitance caused in the touch sensor panel 131 due to hovering is larger than the error in the capacitance generated in the general touch sensor panel 131 desirable.

The magnitude of the amount of mutual capacitance change in the touch sensor panel 131 generated during the hovering of such an object may be smaller than the magnitude of the capacitance change of direct touch on the touch sensor panel 131. [ Hereinafter, the touch to the touch sensor panel 131 may include hovering. For example, in the case of hovering, the touch pressure and / or touch area may be classified as the smallest.

Accordingly, the processor 140 can detect the amount of capacitance change generated in the touch sensor panel 131 to measure whether or not a touch has occurred, and the capacitance change amount with respect to the position and / or touch of the touch.

The processor 140 transmits the measured capacitance variation to the controller 110. [ At this time, the controller 110 may calculate the touch time using the capacitance change amount transmitted from the processor 140. [

Specifically, when the touch on the touch sensor panel 131 is hovering, the controller 110 measures the time when the capacitance change amount is maintained above the first predetermined value and below the second predetermined value, The user can calculate the time touched by the user. Here, the first predetermined value may be a minimum value of the capacitance change amount that can be recognized as hovering, and the second predetermined value may be the maximum value of the capacitance change amount that can be recognized as hovering. For example, when the first predetermined value is 20 and the second predetermined value is 50, as shown in FIG. 4A, the time for which the capacitance change amount is 20 or more and 50 or less is 8t, Time is 8t.

When the touch on the touch sensor panel 131 is a direct touch, the controller 110 measures the time when the capacitance change amount exceeds the second predetermined value, so that the object is displayed on the touch sensor panel 131 The touched time can be calculated. For example, when the second predetermined value is 50, as shown in FIG. 4B, since the time for which the capacitance change amount exceeds 50 is 2t, the touch time by direct touch is 2t.

The controller 110 determines whether the touch on the touch screen is an input for entering the favorite mode from the processor 140. If there is an input for entering the favorite mode, the controller 110 displays the favorite mode, The overall operation for the operation on the mode can be controlled. The controller 110 according to an embodiment of the present invention may be an application processor. The application processor is a processing device that can perform functions such as command interpretation, calculation, and control in a portable electronic device. The function and role of the controller 110 according to an embodiment of the invention will be described in detail later.

The apparatus 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention may further include a memory 120. [

The memory 120 may store a program for the operation of the controller 110 and temporarily store input / output data. For example, the memory 120 according to an embodiment of the present invention may store a condition of a touch to the touch screen 130 for entering the favorite mode. In addition, the memory 120 may store an icon displayed in the favorite mode. In addition, the memory 120 may store a condition of a touch on which an icon displayed in the favorite mode is executed. In addition, it may store a condition of a touch on the touch screen 130 for ending the favorite mode. The memory 120 may be a flash memory type, a hard disk type, a multimedia card micro type, a card type memory (e.g., SD or XD memory), a RAM (Random Access Memory), a static random access memory (SRAM), a read-only memory (ROM), an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM), a programmable read- A disk, and / or an optical disk.

5 is a flowchart for explaining a method of operating the favorite mode according to the embodiment.

Referring to FIG. 5, a method of operating a favorite mode according to an embodiment of the present invention includes determining whether a signal input to the touch screen satisfies a predetermined condition (S510), determining whether the touch satisfies a predetermined condition (S530) a step of displaying a favorite mode (S520), a step of operating a favorite mode (S530), a step of determining an end condition of a favorite mode (S540), and a step of terminating a favorite mode have.

6 illustrates an entry method of the favorite mode according to the embodiment.

Hereinafter, a step S510 of determining whether a signal input to the touch screen satisfies a predetermined condition (S510) will be described in detail with reference to FIG.

As the device 100 becomes larger, it is difficult for a user to hold the device 100 with one hand and operate the touch screen 130. That is, since the icon desired to be used may exist outside of the reach 222 of the user's thumb 208 or may exist in another page, the user may select all of the icons 208 by using only the thumb 208 of the user holding the device 100 The icon can not be executed.

At this time, the user can select an icon to be used by using the other hand, but depending on the situation, it may be difficult or impossible for the user to select the icon through the other hand. Here, the icon is a small picture or symbol displayed on the touch screen 130, and may represent an application, a file, a folder, or the like that can be executed in the device 100. When the icon is executed according to a touch or the like, an application corresponding to the icon may be executed in the device 100 or a file or a folder may be opened.

Therefore, in the embodiments of the present invention, it is intended to provide a technique for operating the favorite mode to solve such inconvenience and problems. The touch screen 130 according to the embodiment of the present invention can operate the computing system by simply touching (touching) the screen with a finger or the like.

If the touch on the touch screen 130 satisfies a predetermined condition, the user can enter the favorite mode.

The predetermined condition may be a condition in which the object is touched at one position of the touch screen 130 for a predetermined time or more. Specifically, after the first touch is input to the touch screen 130, the touch may be continuously maintained for a predetermined time, and the change of the position of the touch may be within a predetermined range.

The touch input to enter the favorite mode includes hovering in addition to a direct touch to the touch screen 130. [

In addition, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which the object is touched to the touch screen 130 at a predetermined pressure and / or a predetermined area or more. For example, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which the sum of changes in the capacitance due to the pressure is touched to 570 or more on the touch screen 130 as shown in FIG. 2B. In addition, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which the sum of the capacitance change due to the area is touched to the touch screen 130 by 310 or more as shown in FIG. 3B. Or a combination thereof may be set to the predetermined condition.

In addition, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which an object is touched in a specific pattern on the touch screen 130. [ For example, the predetermined condition may be a condition for touching the heart-shaped pattern on the touch screen 130 with the finger 208.

In addition, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which an object is dragged at a specific position on the touch screen 130. For example, the predetermined condition may be a condition of touching the outer area of the touch screen 130 with the finger 208 and then dragging the area to the inner area of the touch screen 130.

The predetermined condition may be a condition in which the object is touched to the touch screen 130 with a specific rhythm. For example, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which the finger 208 continuously touches the touch screen 130 twice.

Here, the predetermined conditions may be combined with each other. For example, the predetermined condition may be a condition in which the finger 208 is touched twice continuously on the touch screen 130, and the second touch is a predetermined pressure or more or is touched by a predetermined area or more. At this time, the first touch may be a condition that is less than a predetermined pressure or touches less than a predetermined area.

Accordingly, a condition that an object is touched at a position on the touch screen 130 for a predetermined time or more, a condition that the object is touched by a predetermined pressure or more, a condition that is touched by a predetermined area or more, A condition to be touched by a specific rhythm, and the like can be combined with each other.

This predetermined condition may be stored in the memory 120. [ The controller 110 may refer to the memory 120 to determine whether the input to the touch screen 130 satisfies the predetermined condition.

7A to 7C show various favorite modes according to the first embodiment.

Hereinafter, the step of displaying the favorite mode (S520) and the step of operating the favorite mode (S530) will be described with reference to FIG. 7, and the favorite mode according to the first embodiment will be described in detail .

If the touch of the touch screen 130 satisfies the predetermined condition, the favorite mode 214 may be displayed in a part of the area of the touch screen 130.

Favorites mode 214 may display one or more icons 216. [ Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7A, the favorite mode 214 can display the icon 216 in a plurality of rows. 7B, the favorite mode 214 may display the icon 216 in a plurality of columns. And, as shown in FIG. 7C, the favorite mode 214 can display the icon 216 in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Here, the icon 216 may be an icon previously registered as a favorite icon of the user.

The icon 216 may be executed by touching an icon displayed in the favorite mode 214. [

The icon 216 may also be executed by releasing the touch input to the favorite mode 214 in an operation that separates the touched object from the touch screen 130 in the favorite mode 214. [ More specifically, the user can touch the finger 208 to the favorite mode 214 to select the desired icon 216, and then release the input touch to execute the icon 216. At this time, if the selected icon 216 is not a desired icon, a desired icon is selected by sliding the finger 208 that is touched in the favorite mode 214 to select a desired icon, .

8A and 8B show a favorite mode according to the second embodiment.

Hereinafter, a step S520 of displaying a favorite mode and a step S530 of operating a favorite mode, if it is determined that the touch satisfies a predetermined condition, will be described with reference to Fig. 8, .

In the following, the same points as in the first embodiment will be omitted in order to avoid redundant description. Therefore, the description will be focused on differences from the first embodiment.

The step S520 of displaying the favorites mode according to the second embodiment may include a first step in which at least one of the previously registered icons is displayed and at least one of the input touch pressure, And a second step in which at least one other icon than the displayed icon is displayed as the information is changed.

Specifically, as shown in FIG. 8A, the first favorite icon 217 may be displayed (first step) in the favorite mode 214, and the second favorite icon 218 ) Can be displayed (the second step).

More specifically, the icon to be displayed in the favorite mode 214 can be changed by the magnitude of the touch pressure and / or the capacitance change amount depending on the touch area.

For example, when it is assumed that the sum of the amounts of change in the capacitance has a value between 0 and 400, the sum of the capacitance change amount in the range of more than 0 and the range of 100 having the smallest value is set to the first level, With a second level for the sum of the capacitance variations in the range from greater than 100 to 200 with the next larger value and a third level for the sum of the capacitance variations ranging from greater than 200 to 300 with the next larger value The sum of the capacitance change amounts in the range of more than 300 to 400 can be calculated as the fourth level.

Accordingly, in the case of the first level, the first favorite icon 217 can be displayed in the favorite mode 214 as shown in Fig. 8A, and in the case of the second level, as shown in Fig. 8B , A second favorite icon 218 may be displayed in the favorites mode 214 and a third favorite icon and a fourth favorite icon (not shown) may be displayed on the display .

At this time, if the icon desired by the user is not displayed, the desired icon may be displayed by adjusting the size and / or the touch area of the touch pressure.

For example, in the first step in which the first favorite icon 217 is displayed in the favorite mode 214 as shown in FIG. 8A, when the second favorite icon 218 is to be executed, The second step of displaying the second favorite icon 218 in the favorite mode 214 as shown in FIG. 8B may be changed by adjusting the size of the pressure and / or the touch area.

When the icon desired by the user is displayed, the icons 217 and 218 can be executed by touching the icon displayed in the favorite mode 214. [ In addition, the execution of the icons 217 and 218 can be executed by releasing the touch input in the favorite mode 214. [

At this time, for example, when the fourth favorite icon corresponding to the fourth level is to be executed and the input touch is released to execute the icon, the touch level is changed from the fourth level to the third level The touch will be released past the level or first level. At this time, when the time remaining in each level is shorter than the predetermined time, it is possible to prevent an error from being selected as a wrong level when releasing the touch by setting not to select the level. Accordingly, erroneous selection when the magnitude and / or the touch area of the touch pressure suddenly changes as in the case of releasing the touch can be prevented. Therefore, when selecting the fourth level and releasing the touch, an error selected as the first level, which is the last level, can be prevented.

8A and 8B illustrate that one icon is displayed for each level in the favorite mode 214, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For any level, the icons displayed in the favorite mode 214 May be two or more. Accordingly, in the case of the first level, two icons are displayed in the favorite mode 214, and in the case of the second level, the two icons and two other icons can be displayed in the favorite mode 214. [

In a state in which two or more icons are displayed in the favorite mode 214, when the user operates the favorite mode 214 by releasing the touch input in the favorite mode 214, the finger 208 touched in the favorite mode 214 is slid After selecting the desired icon, the icon can be executed by releasing the input touch.

On the other hand, in a state in which only one icon is displayed in the favorite mode 214, when the user touches the favorite mode 214 by releasing the touch, the icon already displayed in the favorite mode 214 is displayed The icon can be executed only by releasing the touch without a separate icon selection process.

For example, when the user desires to execute the second favorite icon 218, the favorite mode 214 is executed with a touch satisfying a predetermined condition, and the size and / or the touch area of the touch pressure is adjusted After the second favorite icon 218 is displayed and the touch is released, the second favorite icon 218 displayed in the favorite mode 214 can be immediately executed.

In addition, the icon to be displayed in the favorite mode 214 can be changed by the touch time.

Specifically, when it is assumed that the touch time has a value between 0 t and 12 t, for a touch time in the range from 0 t to 3 t, the touch time in the range from 3 t to 6 t, The third level for the touch time in the range of 6t to 9t having the next largest value and the fourth level for the touch time in the range of 9t to 12t having the largest value.

At this time, if a desired icon is not displayed, a desired icon may be displayed by adjusting the touch time.

For example, in the first step in which the first favorite icon 217 is displayed in the favorite mode 214 as shown in FIG. 8A, when the second favorite icon 218 is to be executed, The user can change the time to the second step in which the second favorite icon 218 is displayed in the favorite mode 214 as shown in FIG. 8B.

When a desired icon is displayed, if the desired icon is not displayed, the user can select the desired icon by holding the touch until the desired icon is displayed. However, when the desired icon is displayed, it can not be selected again.

In this case, if a predetermined maximum touch time is applied and the touch is maintained, it is possible to select the icon that was displayed first, thereby selecting the desired icon.

Specifically, when the touch time exceeds the fourth level, the touch level starts again from the first level, and the first favorite icon 217 can be displayed again at this time. Thereafter, as the touch time increases, icons may be displayed in the order of the second level, the third level and the fourth level.

If the touch time exceeds the fourth level, the touch level is lowered to the third level. At this time, the third favorite icon (not shown) may be displayed again. Then, as the touch time increases, the icon may be displayed such that the level is lowered to the second level and the first level in the reverse order, and then the second level and the third level are increased again when the level reaches the first level.

Thereafter, the method of executing the selected icon is the same as the case where the icon is displayed according to the magnitude and / or the touch area of the touch pressure.

Fig. 9 illustrates a method of terminating the favorite mode according to the embodiment.

Hereinafter, the step of judging the end condition of the favorite mode (S540) and the step of ending the favorite mode (S550) will be described in detail with reference to Fig.

The favorite mode 214 may be terminated by touching the end mark 303 located on the favorite mode 214 or outside the favorite mode 214, as shown in Fig.

In addition, the favorite mode 214 may be terminated by sliding the object touched in the favorite mode 214 to be positioned at the end mark 303, and releasing the input touch.

This is merely an example, and the favorites mode 214 may be terminated by execution of an icon. The favorite mode 214 may also be used to touch an outside area of the area where the favorite mode 214 is displayed or to touch an object that is touched in the favorite mode 214 to an outside area of the area where the favorite mode 214 is displayed And then the input touch can be released and terminated. Alternatively, the favorite mode 214 may be terminated even if there is no touch input for a predetermined time (for example, 10 seconds) after entering the favorite mode 214. [ Which may be executed in one or more selected ways depending on the convenience of the user.

As discussed above, the apparatus 100 according to the embodiment can be operated in the favorite mode 214 to place an icon on another page in an area where the user's finger 208 does not touch, There is an advantage to be able to run.
