도 2는 도 1의 액정표시패널의 화소구조의 일예를 설명하기 위한 도면이다.

Claims (10)
- 복수의 데이터라인과 복수의 게이트라인이 매트릭스 형태로 교차되고, 그 교차지점에 화소가 정의된 표시패널;
상기 복수의 데이터라인과 연결되며, 홀수 감마기준전압과 짝수 감마기준전압에 따라 디지털 비디오 데이터를 변환한 아날로그 데이터전압들을 각각 홀수 데이터라인들과 짝수 데이터라인들에 공급하는 데이터 구동부;
정극성 감마기준전압과 부극성 감마기준신호 중 하나를 각각 상기 홀수 감마기준전압으로 상기 데이터 구동부로 출력하고, 상기 정극성 감마기준전압과 상기 부극성 감마기준신압 중 하나를 상기 짝수 감마기준전압으로 상기 데이터 구동부로 출력하는 감마생성부; 및
상기 감마생성부에서 상기 정극성 감마기준전압과 상기 부극성 감마기준전압 중 하나를 선택하는 선택신호를 포함하는, 상기 표시패널이 구동되도록 제어하는 제어신호를 발생하는 타이밍 컨트롤러를 포함하는 표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 표시패널은 상기 선택신호의 값에 따라 극성 반전이 변경되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 감마생성부는 상기 선택신호에 따라 상기 정극성 감마기준전압과 상기 부극성 감마기준전압 중 하나를 선택하는 먹스(multiplexer)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제3항에 있어서,
상기 타이밍 컨트롤러가 위치하는 메인 PCB 및 상기 데이터 구동부가 위치하는 소스 PCB를 추가로 포함하며,
상기 먹스는 상기 메인 PCB 또는 상기 소스 PCB 중 하나에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 감마생성부는 상기 정극성 감마기준전압과 상기 부극성 감마기준전압를 생성하는 감마기준전압 생성부를 포함하며,
상기 감마기준전압 생성부는 상기 먹스에 상기 정극성 감마기준전압과 상기 부극성 감마기준전압을 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치. - 복수의 데이터라인과 복수의 게이트라인이 매트릭스 형태로 교차되고, 그 교차지점에 화소가 정의된 표시패널;
상기 복수의 데이터라인과 연결되며, 홀수 감마기준전압과 짝수 감마기준전압에 따라 디지털 비디오 데이터를 변환한 아날로그 데이터전압들을 각각 홀수 데이터라인들과 짝수 데이터라인들에 공급하는 데이터 구동부;
변경되는 감마기준전압 셋팅 데이터에 따라 서로 동일하거나 서로 다른 감마기준전압으로 제1감마기준전압과 제2 감마기준전압을 생성하고, 상기 제1감마기준전압을 상기 홀수 감마기준전압으로 상기 데이터 구동부로 출력하고 상기 제2감마기준전압을 상기 짝수 감마기준전압으로 상기 데이터 구동부로 출력하는 감마생성부; 및
상기 표시패널이 구동되도록 제어하는 제어신호를 발생하는 타이밍 컨트롤러를 포함하는 표시장치. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 제1감마기준전압과 상기 제2 감마기준전압을 생성하는데 필요한 감마기준전압 셋팅 데이터를 저장하는 메모리를 추가로 포함하고,
상기 메모리는 상기 감마생성부 및 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러 중 하나에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 메모리는 휘발성 메모리인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 제어신호는 극성제어신호 및 수직동기신호를 포함하며,
상기 극성제어신호 및 상기 수직동기신호 중 하나에 의해 상기 메모리에 저장된 상기 감마기준전압 셋팅 데이터를 변경하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치. - 제7항에 있어서,
프레임들 사이 수직 블랭크 구간에 상기 감마기준전압 셋팅 데이터가 변경되는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
