Abstract

Claims (16)
- 애노드, 캐소드, 적어도 1층의 방출층 및 상기 캐소드 측의 상기 방출층에 직접 인접하는 적어도 하나의 전자 수송층을 포함하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스로서,
상기 전자 수송층은 적어도 2종의 재료들 ETM1 및 ETM2 의 혼합물을 포함하고, 상기 ETM1 및 ETM2 에 하기 조건들이 적용되며:
a) T1(ETM1) > 2.2 eV;
b) T1(ETM2) > 2.2 eV;
c) -3.2 eV < LUMO(ETM1) < -2.0 eV; 및
d) LUMO(ETM2) > LUMO(ETM1);
식 중, T1 은 각 재료의 최저 삼중항 에너지를 나타내고, LUMO 는 각 재료의 최저 비점유 분자 오비탈의 에너지를 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM1 및 ETM2 는 순수 유기 재료들인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM1 및 ETM2 의 삼중항 에너지 T1 및 상기 전자 수송층에 존재하는 임의의 다른 재료들의 삼중항 에너지 T1 은 > 2.4 eV, 바람직하게 > 2.6 eV 인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM1 의 LUMO 는 -3.1 eV 내지 -2.2 eV 의 범위이고, 바람직하게 -3.0 eV 내지 -2.4 eV 의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM2 의 LUMO 는 상기 ETM1 의 LUMO 보다 적어도 0.1 eV 더 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM1 의 HOMO 는 < -5.3 eV 인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
HOMO(ETM1) < HOMO(EML) 및 HOMO(ETM2) < HOMO(EML) 이고, 상기 HOMO(EML) 은 상기 방출층의 HOMO 를 나타내거나 또는 최고 HOMO 를 갖는 방출층의 재료의 HOMO 를 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM2 의 비율은 ≥ 10 체적% 이고, 바람직하게 ≥ 30 체적% 이며, 또한 상기 ETM2 의 비율은 ≤ 90 체적% 이고, 바람직하게 ≤ 80 체적% 인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 전자 수송층은 상기 ETM1 및 ETM2 이외에 어떠한 다른 재료들도 포함하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM1 은 6원 헤테로아릴 고리기들을 함유하는 화합물들, 특히 트리아진 유도체들, 피리미딘 유도체들, 피리딘 유도체들, 피라진 유도체들, 퀴녹살린 유도체들 또는 퀴놀린 유도체들, 적어도 2개의 헤테로원자들을 갖는 5원 헤테로방향족 고리들을 함유하는 화합물들, 특히 옥사디아졸 유도체들 또는 벤즈이미다졸 유도체들로 이루어지거나, 또는 방향족 케톤들, 보란들, 락탐들, 디아자포스폴 유도체들 및 포스핀 산화물 유도체들로 이루어지는 그룹으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
식 (1) 내지 식 (8) 중 하나의 화합물이 ETM1 로서 사용되고,
식 중, 사용된 심볼들에 하기가 적용되며:
Ar 은, 각각의 존재시 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, 각각의 경우 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R1 에 의해 치환될 수도 있는, 5 ~ 60 개의 방향족 고리 원자들을 갖는 1가 방향족 또는 헤테로방향족 고리계이고;
Ar1 은, 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R1 에 의해 치환될 수도 있는, 5 ~ 60 개의 방향족 고리 원자들을 갖는 2가 방향족 또는 헤테로방향족 고리계이고;
R1 은, 각각의 존재시, 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, H, D, F, Cl, Br, I, CHO, C(=O)Ar2, P(=O)(Ar2)2, S(=O)Ar2, S(=O)2Ar2, CR2=CR2Ar2, CN, NO2, Si(R2)3, B(OR2)2, B(R2)2, B(N(R2)2)2, OSO2R2, 각각이 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R2 에 의해 치환될 수도 있고 하나 이상의 비인접하는 CH2 기들이 R2C=CR2, C≡C , Si(R2)2, Ge(R2)2, Sn(R2)2, C=O, C=S, C=Se, C=NR2, P(=O)(R2), SO, SO2, NR2, O, S 또는 CONR2 에 의해 대체될 수도 있고 하나 이상의 H 원자들이 F, Cl, Br, I, CN 또는 NO2 에 대체될 수도 있는, 1 ~ 40 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 직사슬 알킬, 알콕시 또는 티오알콕시기 또는 2 ~ 40 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 직사슬 알케닐 또는 알키닐기 또는 3 ~ 40 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 분지형 또는 환형 알킬, 알케닐, 알키닐, 알콕시 또는 티오알콕시기, 또는 각각의 경우 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R2 에 의해 치환될 수도 있는, 5 ~ 60 개의 방향족 고리 원자들을 갖는 방향족 또는 헤테로방향족 고리계, 또는 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R2 에 의해 치환될 수도 있는, 5 ~ 60 개의 방향족 고리 원자들을 갖는 아릴옥시 또는 헤테로아릴옥시기, 또는 이 계들의 조합이고; 2개 이상의 인접하는 치환기들 R1 은 여기서 또한 서로 단환 또는 다환의, 지방족 또는 방향족 고리계를 형성할 수도 있고;
Ar2 는, 각각의 존재시, 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R2 에 의해 치환될 수도 있는, 5 ~ 40 개의 방향족 고리 원자들을 갖는 방향족 또는 헤테로방향족 고리계이고;
R2 는, 각각의 존재시, 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, H, D, CN 또는, 추가하여 H 원자들이 F 에 의해 대체될 수도 있는 1 ~ 20 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 지방족, 방향족 및/또는 헤테로방향족 유기 라디칼이고; 2개 이상의 인접하는 치환기들 R2 는 여기서 또한 서로 단환 또는 다환의, 지방족 또는 방향족 고리계를 형성할 수도 있는 것을 특징으로 하거나; 또는
식 (23) 의 케톤 또는 식 (24) 의 포스핀 산화물이 ETM1 로서 사용되고,
식 중, Ar 은 상기에 주어진 의미를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM2 는 순수 탄화수소, 바람직하게 방향족 탄화수소인 것을 특징으로 하거나, 또는 상기 ETM2 는 카르바졸 유도체, 디아자실롤 유도체 또는 테트라아자실롤 유도체인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 12 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 ETM2 는 식 (36), 식 (37) 및 식 (38) 의 화합물들로부터 선택되고,
식 중, R1 은 제 11 항에 주어진 의미를 갖고, 사용된 다른 심볼들 및 인덱스들은 하기의 의미들을 가지며:
Ar3 은, 각각의 존재시, 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, 탄소 또는 수소 이외에 어떠한 비방향족기들도 함유하지 않는 6 ~ 60 개의 방향족 C 원자들을 갖는 방향족 고리계이고; Ar3 은 여기서 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R4 에 의해 치환될 수도 있으며;
R3 은, 각각의 존재시, 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, 1 ~ 20 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 직사슬 알킬기 또는 3 ~ 20 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 분지형 또는 환형 알킬기, 또는 탄소 또는 수소 이외에 어떠한 비방향족기들도 함유하지 않고 하나 이상의 라디칼들 R4 에 의해 치환될 수도 있는 6 ~ 60 개의 방향족 C 원자들을 갖는 방향족 고리계이고; 2개 이상의 라디칼들 R3 은 여기서 또한 서로 고리계를 형성할 수도 있고;
R4 는, 각각의 존재시, 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, 1 ~ 20 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 직사슬 알킬기 또는 3 ~ 20 개의 C 원자들을 갖는 분지형 또는 환형 알킬기이고; 2개 이상의 라디칼들 R4 는 여기서 또한 서로 고리계를 형성할 수도 있고;
n 은, 각각의 존재시 동일하거나 또는 상이하게, 0 또는 1 인 것을 특징으로 하거나; 또는
상기 ETM2 로서 식 (39) 또는 (40) 의 화합물을 사용하고,
식 중, 사용된 심볼들은 제 11 항에 주어진 의미들을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 전자 수송층과 금속성 상기 캐소드 사이에, 알칼리 금속 또는 알칼리 토금속 불화물, 알칼리 금속 또는 알칼리 토금속 산화물, 알칼리 금속 또는 알칼리 토금속 탄화물 또는 알칼리 금속 또는 알칼리 토금속 착물을 포함하는 전자 주입층을 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 방출층은 인광성 (phosphorescent) 이고, 바람직하게 2종 이상의 매트릭스 재료들의 혼합물을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스. - 제 1 항 내지 제 15 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
1층 이상의 층들이 승화 프로세스에 의해 코팅되는 것을 특징으로 하거나, 및/또는
1층 이상의 층들이 캐리어 가스 승화의 도움으로 또는 OVPD (Organic Vapour Phase Deposition) 프로세스에 의해 코팅되거나, 및/또는
1층 이상의 층들이 용액으로부터 코팅되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 디바이스.
