Abstract

PURPOSE: A noiseless free-standing grating for a trench drain is provided to reduce the period and cost of construction because no protrusions are necessary when curing a concrete trench drain. CONSTITUTION: A noiseless free-standing grating for a trench drain comprises a grating(10) and a cushion pad(14). The grating is made of a synthetic resin material having a plurality of drain holes(11) and equipped with a bottom support(12). The cushion pad is attached to cover a side of the grating and the underside of the support. An angle support is welded to the bottom of the grating and a cushion bar is attached to the angle support. The cushion bar has a predetermined size to prevent the grating and the angle support from contacting a trench drain(20).
